I was given this a as a gift but unfortunately i don't think the person realised it was locked to Telstra and i'm with Virgin. The phone is a Samsung SGH-C450 and i'd ideally like to get it unlocked using just the right code without having to tell them it's locked to Telstra... Can anyone help?

You can remove the sim lock from your phone using unlock code. You can get the unlock code for your Samsung SGH-C450 phone from your Network service provider or any third party online Vendors like SimpleUnlocking.com here they ask your country,Network name to which it is locked,IMEI number of your phone. Then they deliver unlock code to you through mail. And you can get free unlocking instructions from the site MobileUnlockGuide.com
for unlocking samsung mobile phone codes u have to surrender it to the shop from where u buy it. from there the company will take it.only company experts can unlock it or else u have to change the software.it is because that the company is alert for keeping ur personal details from hacked.
