It might be that your palm is brushing across the intel touch pad (mouse pad) as you're typing?.. try holding down the function key (Fn) (on the lower left corner of the keyboard) while pressing F9 (this activates the "Toshiba Flash Cards Menu" and is a keyboard shortcut to toggle off/on the touch/mouse pad. You can turn it back on this way too. I almost always use a conventional USB mouse with my laptop for this reason and because it's faster than fiddling around with the pad, IMHO).

Rock-ola 448 jukebox skipping how to repair

The stylus might be worn or of the wrong type. A simple tone arm needs a round stylus and if an elliptical type (intended for a long S-shaped tone arm) has been fitted by mistake it could skip.

If nothing is wrong there, the remaining conclusion is either the mechanism is maladjusted or the tonearm bearing has a tight spot. In that case the tone arm should be removed and the shaft examined under strong magnification and any irregularities carefully removed, eased, blended in using a very fine abrasive (12,000 - 20,000 grit) and then ensuring the shaft and bearing is thoroughly clean apply a little very light machine oil and reassemble and readjust the playing weight...

My curser moves from right to left without my knowlege

Check the language set up. Also check that the keyboard type is properly set.

Over the years I have seen a defective keyboard do some erratic behavior.

When typing, the curser skips.

Even though you may not even be touching the touchpad, touchpads and the tiny ribbon cables that connect them to the motherboard (directly under the keyboard) can be so sensitive that they activate the cursor just from typing alone.

Here's a great little app you can download that disables the touchpad ONLY while keystrokes are being made. It's saved a ton of my clients (and myself) alot of grief. If it doesn't solve your problem, then you can repost and move ahead with further help in tracking down the problem.

While im typing, my curser skips back into the middle of my sentences, and i have to retype my whole sentence again...what is causing this to happen and how can i fix, thank you

if it is the same thing that happens to me you need to shut off your touchpad (mousepad) when you are typing as your fingers or palms cause the curser to jump if you touch it while typing

I have trouble when typing. The letters skip all over text.

Do you have a small button on the top side of the touch pad that will allow you to turn off the mouse? I bet that you are accidently touching the mouse pad with your thumb while you are typing, and this is causing your problem. I have the same problem if I do not turn off the touch pad on my laptop.

Good luck, and please rate me, OK?

Keyboard curser bounces around

Are you bumping the touch pad while you type? This may be causing the curser to move around. This laptop is known for its sensitive touch pad.
