Question about Intel D102GGC2 Motherboard

1 Answer

Vga card installation

I have a geforce 6600 display card properly inserted on the motherboard but without the driver installed. My pc still can display.
The problem is that everytime I have installed the driver for the display card, windows will restart again and again, until I chose "back to the last time normal setting".
My windows is windows xp sp2. The driver is exactly for geforce 6600 and downloaded from nvidia.

You have to check: if driver is right and no error during hardware and software install
1) go bios check the setting for AGP and biuld-in VGA, set to AGP slot enable
2) check your cpu speed, and power supply watt, it is under 350 is not siuitable for higher speed cpu plus GF6600, choose 400W or higher better. sometimes the power trouble is crucial
3) check your motherboard model to make sure the AGP slot which support GF6600
3) go windows check 6600 device status at control panel/ system/hardware manage/vedio card show right detail.

I am facing problem with VGA driver for my intel D102GGC2 motherboard with window 7

the drivers might not be installed correctly you might have to uninstall the graphics card restart your computer then reinstall the graphics card and its drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers or you might need to download one

You need the latest display driver for your graphics card.

Click here to download the drivers off the Nvidia website.

Enter the information in the fields as shown below;

Product Type: Geforce
Product Series: Geforce 8 Series
Product: 8400GS
Operating System: Select the operating system you are using. XP or 7 whichever it is.
Language: Choose your Language, English

Then click search and download and install the driver.

This should solve your problem!

Do do recommend sticking with XP as your current computer system will find it difficult to run Windows 7.

All the Best!

My geforce 6600 wont give a signal when used with this mobo, why?

Open you're manual to page 2-22. Make sure, Booting Graphic Adapter Priority is set to:
[PCI Express/Int-VGA]. Save and exit the bios. You're system will auto reboot. When you're screen goes black, press and hold the power on button until you're system shuts off. Install the 6600 video card. Double check the 6600 card. Most PCI-E cards need additional power connected to it to run.
If you need the manual you can open the link provided; http://dlcdnas.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5GD1-VM/e1881_p5gd1-vm.pdf

Hope you find this helpful!

first update the bios of your system.
Then remove the drivers using safe mode, Download new drivers from nvidai web site ( do not use the drivers on the vga's cd). Disable any antivirus software and try again.

PSU 250W usually isn`t good with GF6600 (like and high) videocards. Strongly recommended 350W and high for this configuration (and "350W" - not only numbers in model - for really QUALITY PSUs).
