I have Whirlpool LSQ9500LQ0 washing machine, it will not drain the water. I have already changed the timer, problem is when its done watching and its time to drain the water it doesn't drain. The sound of drain starting comes for 1-2 seconds then stops. Looks like a water pump issue but i am unable to access water pump cannot open the back cover. I don't see any screws. Any help on opening the back cover would be great or even a service manual.

Re: Whirlpool LSQ9500LQ0 will not drain water
Access to the inside on this washer will require taking off the whole cabinet.
1. Remove two screws on the back side and on each end of the control panel.
2. The whole control panel will then pull forward then flip it back out of your way.
3. There are a group of wires coming from the control panel going down to a single plug, unplug them from the main cabinet.
4. Remove the two large brass colored clips on each side.
5. You can now remove the whole cabinet.
The water pump is in front and secured only by two clips top and bottom.

what cycle are you using?there are a couple of things that cause the timer to stop,eg- water not heating - not draining etc. can you try a cold cycle if there is one on your machine. was the water in the machine getting hot?sorry to ask you these questions but you might not need a timer hopefully. have you tried the whirlpool website? please reply 4 more help.
there is a possibilty the drain pump maybe locked up by a small foreign object such as a small nail tooth pick drill bit or even a coin check that.if that does not solve them problem then the timer or control board may need to be replaced
Your belt assessment sounds correct on the dryer problem. If you can, restore the lid switch connections, and operate the switch during what should be spin. You should be able to hear a relay or solenoid clicking off and on with the switch.
Did you replace the timer motor? The little motor attached to the timer that moves it thru the cycles. Also, I would check to see if the water level switch might be stopping it after the wash/rinse cycle. I've attached a URL that will show you the various components. If you need more help, feel free to post.
the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins
agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin
cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with
water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse
water. See There's no cold water.
