Question about Samsung Washing Machines

Jammed washing machine filter

Howdy, Merry Christmas all!
I am unable to remove filter on my J1043 washing machine.
The black screw cover piece, unscrews & pops off the filter,
which feels stuck to a rubber mechanism!

    Thanks for the reply. . . .
I tried to lever it out with the inside of two spoons, but it is like a rubber band has a hold of it.
I am afraid if I pull it out any further it will snap something.

    Cheers.
    Appreciated.
A new filter I can handle,
it was the unknown factor of further damage I was bothered with!
Will try first thing in the morning and let you know how it goes!
    Thanks again!

It is stuck because there may be something stuck in the filter, or it is the rubber seal that has expanded, try levering it out with a screwdriver or something like that, or if there is something you can grip with a pair of grips or pliers ,try pulling it out that way.
Plz rate solution.
Thanks

It is the rubber seal that is holding it, you will just have to keep tryimg to pull it out, yes,I agree you may damage it, this sometimes happens, at worst you will have to fit a new filter.

Paper jam

  • Discover the location of the jam. Carefully open the cover of the copy machine and the paper tray to see exactly where the paper is jammed.
  • 2Turn off the copy machine before pulling out the paper.
  • 3Pull the page out, the opposite way it is fed into the copier. Pull the jammed sheet out gently. If you tug too hard, the paper may rip.
  • 4Check for any paper fragments and clean up any torn pieces.
  • 5Check the roller where the jam occurred to be sure none of the copier parts are loose or broken. The roller should be smooth all the way across with no possible snags.
  • 6Replace the cover and paper tray and turn the machine back on.
  • 7Press the button to cancel the paper jam message. This button will vary among copy machines. The display will tell you which button to push

F05 water will not go Indesit washing machine

F05 - Pressure switch jammed on full - Book a washing machine repair.

Was what the manual said. But then I found this write up from another source:

Drain machine by running the outlet pipe into a bucket at floor level or run the outlet pipe out of the back door if it'll reach. Check the filter unit for blockages. Filter generally located behind a panel at the foot of the machine. Some are obvious like little square hatches and some are hidden behind the trim panel at the foot of the machine. Once panel is removed the filter should be visible. Its generally a circular plastic fitting which unscrews in an anticlockwise direction. Some hotpoint, indesit and ariston filters are located in the big black sump hose (the one that leaves the bottom of the outer drum and connects to the pump). Remove the back cover, locate hose, remove the tensioner clip by squeezing the tabs together with a set of heavy pliers or vise grips, remove the hose, take out filter and clean. Be prepared for spillage of water. May help if the machine is tilted backwards at an angle.
If problem persists, check pump and pump hose. Pump removal: power off, drag machine out onto the floor, remove back cover or tip machine up at an angle, locate pump, (attached to other end of drain pipe).undo 2 wiring connections, 2 hose connections, and pump mounting screws. Remove pump chamber - some are held in with screws, others clip into place. Check for foreign objects round the impeller. If pump chamber is clear, may be a fault with the pump motor - in which case, replace the pump.

Washing machine has f05 flashing on a hotpoint machine it wont pump out and cant get door open

    Hi there,

The error F05 indicates that the pressure switch is jammed on full.

The only thing you can do your self is to check the filter is not blocked.
Remove lower rear panel of washer, locate and remove large black hose fatened to bottom of tub, watch out for water running out.
Remove and clean plastic filter inside hose.
Refit filter and hose, test for leaks.
If problem still persists, then could be faulty pressure switch or blockage in the pressure system.

    Good Luck!!
    Thanks

Error message EC03 appears on cotton cycle after 5 minutes into wash

I found the basic instructions that came with the washing machine and found that you need a screwdriver to undo a screw to remove the filter cover. I then gradually released the filter cover to empty the water out of the machine in small quantities into a shallow tray. I was then able to remove the filter and clear it of 2 x 20p pieces and a load of gunk. I then removed the 'washable' floormat from the drum as the rubber backing from the mat was crumbling and probably not helping the filter. Filter cleaned and cover screwed back in, mat in the bin, and everything working fine since.

I did try ringing the customer support number and after pressing loads of keys to select appropriate options; confirming my address, postcode, name, date of birth, email address, mothers maiden name, what the kids had for breakfast etc, I was allowed to ask how to get the filter cover off. Apparently this is a technical query and would involve arranging an engineer to call. I declined this very kind service option and opted for a screw driver, common sense and a positive attitude. Worked for me! No blood shed, a tiny bit of sweat whilst trying to get through on phone, and only tears of joy when I fixed it all by myself.

Sounds like something stuck in the washing machine when draining

Something has become stuck in the drain pump.
    1. Remove the back cover. The drain pump is in the lower left corner.
    2. Tilt machine forward for easier access.
    3. Unplug the pump motor power plug.
    4. Loosen the hose clamp from the tub.
    5. Remove the drain hose connection from the pump.
    6. Remove the three screws securing the pump to the tub.
    7. Remove debris from pump.
    8. Replace pump.
    9. Merry Christmas...
