Are the fans all on one main line just for the fans and are they plugged into a GFI receptacle. If so you may have to reset the GFi or maybe your electrical box needs to be reset.

SOURCE: Casablanca fan speed problem

If this fan has a pullchain that also controls the fan speed, and you have a remote, the pullchain has to be set for the highest speed. If it is set at medium or low, it will mess with the remote operation. Note: usually high speed is the first pull after the "off" position.

SOURCE: Casablanca fan only runs at highest speed

When I turn on any of the fan speeds fan does not come on. When I remove the blades and turn on the ceiling fan on and give it a push the fan stays running. What could it be?

What about solar attic fan? Are they trustworthy?

A solar attic fan may reduce electricity bill by reducing conditioning system workload, prevents moisture buildup and mold in your attic, and increases your roof lifetime.
It is easily installed, it also doesn't need to be tied into your electrical grid, it does not need additional circuit breakers, and you can install it without a licensed electrician -

Hi I have had fitted a newlec extractor fan in my shower room.

It should have been fitted by an accredited electrician because it is an IP rated unit used in a wet environment and should have an earth wire fitted to it which normally is not with a light switch
depending on the electrical regulations for your area the earth wire could be run from the metal body of the unit to an earth wire connection in a power point (gpo outlet)
but a talk with an electrician would be the safe way to go.

Wiring problem

11-1-12
Thanks for link to manual.
Solution might take more response for full clarity, and you seem a good electrician.
I have numbered two questions that may be unimportant.

Here is illustration showing Black Hot and White Neutral in attic junction box, as you described. With black-red-blue wires connected as shown in Broan manual. And each device connected to White neutral wire in junction box.
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Triple-fan-light-night-light.jpg

You have access to attic, and can drop another cable down wall into switch box. This will give necessary total 4 wires between switch and Broan
http://waterheatertimer.org/OWB1.html

Key start point: Junction box in attic has the Black Hot wire and White neutral coming from circuit breaker box.
This cable powers the junction box.

There are 3 cables in junction box, each cable with black and white.
Cable from breaker box with Hot and Neutral. Cable going to light switch.
Another cable jumps power to next box in the circuit, and will be reconnected when finished, black-to-black white-to-white

Old light switch in wall was single pole.
1) How many cables are inside switch box? Just one cable from attic with black and white wire?
2) 3-way switch is the wrong switch, unless you mean 3-pole triple switch with 3 screw terminals on one side of device?

Here is another link that shows wiring choices if you decide to use 3 separate switches (or timers or occupancy sensor to turn on night light) instead of triple switch: Install triple box.

I have a Hampton Bay, Glendale 52 inch ceiling fan/light. I've installed ceiling fans in the past and am used to having 4 wires coming out of the unit - black, blue, white and green. There are black,...

green on the fan is for grounding the device, some have only a braided bare cooper line. grounding is a safety essential and all modern UL tested electrical devices will have some means of grounding to the homes grounding circuit (the bare copper line). check the installation instructions for the proper grounding method. Then you might consider having a qualified electrician install your fans.

How to install a electric line for over stove micowave

This is usually best left to a licensed electrician, however in some homes there is already electrical wiring over the stove for an exhaust fan. You might be able to tap into the exhaust fan wiring and install an outlet that you can plug the microwave into, or if there is an electrical outlet near the stove area you might can tap into it just be sure that you are not overloading the outlet. For example if there is a refrigerator or other major appliance using power from this outlet it might not carry enough current to operate the refrigerator and the microwave at the same time and will cause the circuit breaker to open or fuses to blow.

Will not stay "ON"

that clicking is probably arcing from a loose wire somewhere like on a outlet or the hot wire is touching a ground ( metal) somewhere.. you have to disconnect every light and outlet that the fuse is on and one by one reconnect them to find the culprit...Also it is possible for the breaker itself to be bad

Installation of a Panasonic Fan FV-05VFL2...

If you are not very handy I don't think I'd tackle this project. There's going to be drywall cutting, backing to install, attic crawling, wiring, ducting to attach, proper insulating. As an electrician I've done this sort of thing in between 1 and 2 hours, depending on how smooth things go. If you find somebody you trust that's done it before who is willing do to it on the side for cash you're looking at $25-$60 for labor. Is it worth it to you?
