Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
You seem like you might be able to put me in the right direction.
When I record audio while using my web cam the noise floor is way too high.
For example, her is a link to a video i made:
As you can hear the noise is way high. My computer has 3 sound setting 0db 20db and 40db. i have mine on 40 but if i up it on 0 or 20 it is way to quiet and it still retains the same noise floor.
i have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.
Also i recently got my hp laptop from my dad and reinstalled vista (to free up the slowness) with a friends DELL windows vista CD. I don't think that could cause the problem but maybe. My dad couldn't find the hp disc that came with the computer.
I will begin by reminding you that there's a great variety in the quality of microphones available out there, and point to this as a suspect for the cause of your difficulties. I would recommend, if audio fidelity is a concern, that you use an external microphone with a cable feed to your line input, but there are other people who think you can get acceptable quality recordings from internal mics.
