Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have replaced the front cover of my Technika ARDO LPA96 dishwasher. I have tried to re-wire it but I have two wires left over and the washer will not function. These two wores seems to be eminating from the LED lights that indicate what function is operating by depressing buttons on the front of the washer.

You will have to start over and verify that each wire has returned to its original position.

You should access the lid switch (the switch is inside the machine main housing near the door frame) and to see whether it become loose or was broken. Good luck!

SOURCE: Need to remove top cover of GE WPXQ3090T2WW top load washer

There should be 2 screws holding it on at the rear. Looking from the rear these will be at each top corner. Once these are removed push the lid from the front of the machine towards the rear and it will pop off.

SOURCE: power LED on but no boot up

it could be your power switch, veriy that it isnt the power supply by

1.) un-plug it from the main board
2.) look at the main board connector(one coming of the power supply)
3.) you should see green wire and next to it a black one
4.) using a paper clip bridge the too wires
5.) if it works proceed to net step if not get a new power supply

to check case switch and board switch

1.) plug in power supply to main board
2.) look at the pins where the power button connects to
3.) using a metal object (blade screw driver) bridge the pins

if the board should start up>
then its your power button on the case that is bad, you can try to repair it, chage it or buy a new case,

if it doesnt work.
1.) ensure that jcms(jumper to flash the bios) is set correctly
2.) unjack each drive one at a time to see if any is causing stalling
3.) get a new main board

first thing to do is to check if u have power to washer. check to make sure the breaker in your main electric panel is not tripped. If it is ok then take front cover off kick panel make sure that the wires running to the washer are not loose. be sure to turn off the breaker first. IF they are tight then turn on braker and check wires at washer connection with volt meter to see if u have power.

How do you replace the electrical cord on a dd603

Hello,
You would need to remove the lower drawer and the plastic cap on the mains filter board. The link below explains how to remove the lower drawer and access the main filter board.
The plastic cap is held down with small tabs, depress the tabs and slide the cover off. The power cord is screwed down to the mains filter.

Need to know how to take the see through cover off under the top draw on the DD603 dishwasher to replace the drain hose on Fisher and Paykel

I think you are referring to the wiring cover at the bottom of the drawer. I will assume you know how to get the drawer out.

To remove the wiring cover
1. Carefully release the four wiring cover clips from the front
lower section of the tub taking care not to damage them.
2. Release the three clips on the underside of the tub which
retain the wiring cover.
3. Pull the tub fully open and lift it up at the front (this makes it
easier to remove the wiring cover from the rear of the tub).
4. The wiring cover may now be carefully moved forward to
release it from the rear of the tub.
5. To reassemble first ensure that the wiring harnesses, drain
hose and fill hose are clipped into their correct position.
6. Then refit in reverse manner

Please rate this solution if this is what you were after. Otherwise post a comment and fixya.com will try to help you.

After a cycle the washer does not drain water used. it just sits at the bottom of washer

Power from the house
Is there power getting to the dishwasher? This can be difficult to test, because dishwashers are usually wired directly to an electrical circuit, rather than plugged into the wall. But at least check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.

Door switch
The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it.

Wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dishwasher, burns and breaks the connection. If that's the problem, the wires must be repaired/replaced as necessary. If that's not the problem, check the wiring to the door switch, the wiring between the door and the lower part of the dishwasher, and the wiring to the timer. Repair any broken, burned, brittle, or defective wiring, using the proper appliance-grade wire and connectors.

Timer or selector switch
Although it's uncommon, the timer or the selector switch may be defective. If so, you need to replace the defective part, because neither of these can be repaired.

check where the pig tail the plug going into the wall follow the plug wire to the connection at the dishwasher. You will need to remove the bottom panel of the dishwasher at the floor. This access panel allows you to see the underneath of the dishwasher. Where the plug wire (pig tail) connects to the dishwasher it is in a small square box on either the right side or left at the front of the dishwasher. Unplug your washer and remove the cover off of this box and check to see if the connections are indeed connected.

Hope this helped

Washer only runs on drain cycle. Cannot engage any other cycle. Water does not enter the washer.

No water in dishwasher?

Hello, your problem is going to be with the inlet valve, there is a solonied on top of the valve that has shorted out, the way to test this diagnosis is remove the panel at the bottom of the dish washer..locate the inlet valve normally on the front left under the washer, remove the 2 wires from the valve (being sure to cut the power off to the dishwasher while you do this step) using a volt meter isert the probes into the connectors on the wire then turn power back on, now run a wash..after a minute or so you should see 110v on the volt meter...if this happens your valve is bad you will have to pull the dish washer out and replace the valve. Good Luck!!! If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Mike
