Question about Bose Companion III Computer Speakers
I just took my Bose Companion 3 speakers out of the package and hooked up
everything to my iMac 20" exactly as described (I've re-done the assembly a couple of
times and re-checked every connection - they're all fine). For some reason, my speakers don't make a sound.
I can see that there's power to the speakers - the light is on. I can also see that my iMac headphone jack works because if I plug headphones into the jack I can hear music. I even tried hooking the speakers up to a new macbook and they don't produce any sound there either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
From what I've read, the imac has a 3.5mm (.138) jack while the Bose jack is 1/8 (.125). very small difference in size (.013), but enough to cause problems.

Go to sound in system prefs, you should be able to select them in the output section
