WHERE CAN I GET USER MANUAL FOR JVC PD-43N910 SMART 3D PLASMA TV

Did you check with the manufacturer on their web site? If not available it is because the set was a special model for a large store - they change the model numbers on those sets so they cannot be shopped. You need to find the equivalent JVC model which asise from a different model number is identical.

They do NOT make special models for these big retailers - just give them a special number.

Reset a jvc rm sdr011e recorder

There are two types of reset. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the device from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand devices are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Have a JVC AV-65WP74 that had convergence issues. Replaced the chips and one burnt resistor, no problem. Color is much better and I can fine tune the red in the manual convergence menu, but I do not have...

Been there, done that---JVC remotes are very expensive. I repair these sets as a sideline and I have a Samsonite case full of remotes--get your hands on the correct remote--check the flea markets or even EBAY.

I have a 57 inch someone gave me, told them unless that included the remote, forget it (it was the only major remote I did not have) Most of the remotes are 50 dollars or more at the wholesale level--check out EBAY as I have seen them there for much less.

If you lived in San Diego, I would loan you mine.

If replacing the chips and the usual one resistor made it better you just have to get into the tech menu and adjust and SAVE the adjustments--in the customer menu it does not save and if power is interrupted it may go back to whatever it was before you adjusted it.

Let me know if I can be of any help--I am here to help and have a lot of experience with these sets. My hat is off to you--not everyone can do that repair (yes, it is easy as the chips are up front) and you just need to go one step further. The exact or correct remote will allow you to do other things.

What I do in my own situation is keep the original remote in my case and use a universal for basic things.

The screen went to a 3d mode

Projection TV2_bing.gif sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung2_bing.gif, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith2_bing.gif, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit from the link below.

Common Symptoms include....
  • Screen looks 3D2_bing.gif
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on - TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some photos of convergence problems.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash2_bing.gif focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solution

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com

This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
