Question about Creative Labs Creative Technology Zen MP3 Player
I have an xp pc and I recently got a creative zen mozaic lx. I have charged it and installed the software that came with it. When I went to plug it in to my computer to transfer files, it recognizes that new hardware is found however it cannot find the driver for it. I have tried updating it through the device manager but that comes up with new hardware found which cannot find anything. I tried plugging it into another computer (vista this time) and it worked fine, recognized and installed the driver no problem. This would be fine except everything I want to put on the mp3 player is on the xp computer. I am pretty sure it needs to update/install the driver but I can't seem to get it to do that. I was wondering if you all had any solutions for me.

SOURCE: I have an xp pc
Which version of Xp are you using sp2 or sp3 when I first installed mine on a pc with Xp sp2 it didn't recognise it, After reformating the pc & installing a version of XP with sp3 included, it then detected it and now works fine.

SOURCE: cant import video
You need the software for the Mozaic. Most Creative brand players need the software it came bundled with to convert videos before it can added to the player.
If you don't have the Centrale software CD to convert videos, you can download it from Creative's site here:
Choose the "Applications" section on this page, you want the Creative Zen Mozaic Starter Pack.

okay, it is not reading because you need the cd it came with and download it onto your cpu.(it has to be the kind of disk port that comes out. if you have the disk port that you just put in, it wont work.) if you have a little computer, and no disk drive, then you have to buy a one that goes into usb.

I used to have a creative. i don't think it will delete all ur stuff on ur mp3. i had the zen V+. if it does, it shouldn't take that long to upload it back on there. there should be a small whole on the side or somewhere, that you can reset it. use a small needle or a very thin object. it should start up right after. hope i helped!
