Error reformat media

If it came with the product CD, then you might want to install the software. Some come with their own user interface, and formatting programs.
Another possible solution is booting into safe mode, and trying to format it there.
Also make sure you use the 'Safely Remove Hardware' button in the taskbar, as sometimes it may look like the files are written, but transfers are still going on in the background.
Hope that helps.
Cheers from NZ

I have a Creative Zen V 1gb, when I put songs on it with Windows Media Player, and unplug it afterwards, and when i want to start listening the songs on my MP3, it doesnt show any tracks! while WMP says...

Try updating your firmware, because "default" firmwares have problems sometimes with WMP Sync features that also adds a DRM code to each transfered track.

If not, make sure you use standard .mp3 extensions for your songs, because on basic settings WMP converts your audio files to .wma when you transfer it to an mp3 player

Sansa e260 won't accept songs

Hi Janworks4u. Question for you... Did your mp3 work fine with WMP 10? I ask because WMP 11 is known for causing problems w/mp3 players. You can try reverting to WMP 10 to see if that fixes your problem. To do this:

click START, click on CONTROL PANEL, ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS (look at the top center of the Add or Remove Programs box that pops up for a little square you can click on that says "show updates." Click that box and then scroll down to WMP 11. Click to change/remove. A box will pop up confirming that you will revert to WMP 10. NOTE THIS WILL NOTE DELETE ANYTHING FROM YOUR COMPUTER! All of your music that is in WMP 11 will still be there in WMP 10!

Now you can try to load your songs back on through WMP 10 and hopefully it'll work for you. Good luck!

I/O device error

I/O error *usually* means it can't access the device, rather than the data on the device (i.e. doesn't matter how its formatted) It can be caused by poor media, or it's timing issue, etc. I would try to restart the playr, and even reformat it. Good luck!
