Needing the usb drivers for my camera to install on my computer

I am using a firewire output from my camera and plug in it to an usb in my labtop. I think, I need to install a driver to my computer in order to control my camera and download video to my computer.

Check whether the Camera has any settings that has to be selected in order to connect it to the Computer.

If the Computer is not recognizing the Camera/Camcorder, check whether the USB Driver is installed in the Computer or not. Also, the Computer will not recognize the Camera/Camcorder if the USB Driver is corrupted. In this case you may un-install and install the USB Driver is the Computer.

After the Computer recognizes as Removable device, you can double-click on it to view the video files stored in the Memory of the Camera. Then, you can copy and paste the video files to the desired location on the Hard drive of the Computer.

If un-installing and installing the USB Driver does not work then you may transfer the files using Memory Card Reader.
If the Computer has the Memory Stick slot, then you can transfer the video files without using the Card Reader.

You only need the USB driver. It can be downloaded from here:

After installing the driver, you can access the camera from My Computer.

Using the PC Camera Function
1. Installing the AF Cam driver
You need to install the AF Cam driver before using PC Camera
or video conferencing function.
* If you have already installed the AF Cam driver, skip step 1. "Installing the AF Cam driver" and go to step 2. "Connecting your camera to your computer".

2. Connecting your camera to your computer
2.1 Turn on your computer
2.2 Set Mode dial on your camera to
2.3 Insert the USB cable to the USB port on your computer
2.4 Insert the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on your camera.

* Then you can see the camera as removable disk. You can transfer the pictures from your camera to your computer like transfering files from one folder to another.

1. Go to camera folder
2. Select the file/pictures you want to transfer then right click and choose move option (if you want the files to be moved on your computer) then choose the desired target folder or drive.

*you can just copy the files form the camera to your computer too.
select the files that you want to copy then right click, choose copy then paste on the desired folder or drive.

Depending on the method you're using, this can usually be remedied in one of two ways:

1. USB Cable: make sure your camera is turned off before connecting to the computer, and that the drivers for your camera have been loaded prior to connecting.
2. Memory Card: SD or MMC card readers are becoming more std. on computers, or inexpensive card readers are available to connect via USB.

If you are experiencing difficulties with either of these, this may involve a problem with your USB port or the drivers your computer is using. Sometimes it's as simple as removing the driver which isn't working properly and re-installing it again. In most cases, you will need to install the driver without the USB device connected, so that after you have successfully loaded the driver, the computer will recognize your USB device properly.

Once again, make sure your camera is turned OFF when you connect it to your computer with the USB cable (of course, your computer needs to be turned on). Then, turn the camera on, and you should see the computer recognize the device.

ok, uninstall all related drivers to this camera,


Now using the supplied disk install the camera software but please do not connect the camera YET, if the camera is already connected,
remove the camera and reboot,

so you installed the camera software now plug the usb camera in, it will now detect the install camera software and work.

your camera came with a CD which has the drivers, manual and other software. Here are the steps to install your dirvers and view copy your pictures to your PC
1- Insert your CD and install the drivers.
2- After drivers are installed connect your camera to the USB port and turn the camera on. Your PC will install the drivers.
3- After id is finished, click start, then computer. You should see Sanyo..... along with c: drive etc..

Now you can copy, add, delete, and view pictures stored in your camera by using your computer.

Install your Usb pc camera under "administrator" user account means that all privileges should be i you so that you can install any driver and software to your pc. may this helpful to you.

In installing disconnect the pc cam to the computer and install the driver. after installing the correct driver connect back the pc camera. the computer will install it for you.

You could use a card reader connected to your computer and this would not require any drivers.

You need to install your camera's drivers from the disk that came with it.
Unplug your camera from the computer >> insert the camera's driver CD >> install drivers >> restart the computer >> connect your camera via USB >> a windows pop up will let you know that it has found a new device. If you don't see the pop up this means your USB port is malfunctioning and it's normally from a malfunctionnig motherboard.

If you want to connect it through your card reader I'm affraid you need to buy a new card reader that supports 2G SD card. your current card reader does not supports 2G cards.
