How do I remove the old printhead and put the new one in. its a 5100 i have a kodak colorshare printer 5500, and after almost one year's use the black suddenly wont print, grey is all i get

Open the top access door of the printer, once you see the printhead dock to the center place your index finger on the "bullseye" sticker on the printhead , then move your index finger going to the top left, try pushing the notch above to eject the printhead.
Installing is easy, just snap in the install inks

REMOVING OLD AND PUTTING IN A NEW PRINTHEAD FOR KODAK 5500


Remove both cartriges and on the top left there will be a button. Push and remove the printhead. Net, take the new one and insert it, pushing on the thumb picture. Reinsert cartriges and align.

Wont print black


Ok. Remove both cartriges. Put them aside. Remove the new printhead from its bag and all the protection things. To remove the old one, press the button at the top left of the printhead. Put the new printhead in, secure it by pressing the sticker with the finger, and replace the cartriges and print the alignment page.

remove the ink. on the left side of the printhead (the old one) there should be a button you can depress near the top. push it and the printhead should come off. put the new printhead on and push it where there is the sticker until it clicks into place. remember! take off all the things on the new printhead. I think it's orange?

How do I remove old printhead and install a new one?


open the access door at the top of the printer

Remove the ink cartridges

Put your finger in the upper left corner of the printhead ( inside)

you will feel a small latch rigth there push it upward

the printhead will loose and you may now remove the printhead

To get the printhead out, you need to remove the ink cartridges first. And then remove the printhead by pressing the small button at the of it to disengage it.\

To remove the old printhead, you need to remove the ink cartridges first. And then remove the printhead by pushing the button at the top of the printhead while disengaging it from the carrier.
