Series wiring of a 4 ohm DVC subwoofer will result in an 8 ohm load.
See the following diagram.
The diagram listed has a dual 2 ohm voicecoil, netting 4 ohm, however in your case, the dual 4 ohm sub will net an 8 ohm load.

My radio has a display and i know the speakers are working, i pulled the radio out and has a connector with a lot of wires if you press on the bundle of wires i have sound, put back in place no sound

I think the ground wire is no good, check the Black Wire.

Best way is to rewire everything, if you are not sure what to do, remove each wire and reconnect each one, use wire connectors instead of electrical tape if you could.

How to mount a bandpass sub

usually you will get the best sound with the box mounted approximately 3" away from rear of trunk with speaker facing toward the rear of trunk if it is a single speaker enclosure you want to do the same just offset it to one side of the trunk corners always amplify sound however just so you know 10's are not really made for low bass they usually have more of a hard hitting pound instead of a low rumble usually 12's will give you the low bass better and it also depends on what kind of box a vented box would be best for low bass sealed box gives you tighter bass but you need more power ported is good for low bass but gets sloppy when loud and a bandpass is used for loud hard hitting bass

I have a ford fiesta style 58 plate, speakers in drivers door are not working. how to do i check wiring?

Easiest way is hooking up temporarily another speaker, one that you know that works, to isolate the problem, either on the cable, or the speaker itself. Just connect it in parallel to the door´s speaker terminal, it wont hurt the head unit. If you still get no sound, make sure the head unit is not damaged for the left side. if there is sound at the headunit, you will have to rewire.

Replace rear speaker 2000 es300

You need to check to see if it is an external amp or an amp that is built in with the speakers. They may be 2ohm factory speakers on that stock system, if so you may need a rewire. take a look at the rears and see if you see a small amp. Its Lexus so hopefully it will be a straight forward swap. get back to me if needed.

Car stereo installation speakers

Your old unit was a common ground unit meaning all speaker grounds as well a radio ground were the same. The new unit should NOT be connected to this wire configuration. Newer units change the potential difference of the speaker power meaning that the - wire of the unit may have negative 24v on it so IT CANNOT BE REFERENCED TO EARTH OR CHASSIS GROUND.

I would recommend rewiring the speakers to the radio for best reliability and sound quality.
