Question about Cameras
I just got a Spectra Digital: Digital photo frame keychain for Christmas. I set up the software that came with the keychain and was able to successfully put pictures onto the unit. My problem became when I tried to use the funtion that syncs information from MS Outlook off my computer and onto the unit. My computer runs Windows Vista, and as such the program that I have to store my phone numbers and addresses is Windows Live Mail. The program that came with the keychain, however, does not recognize this program and says that there are no contacts on my computer to sync. I don't have the money to go out and get Microsoft Outlook just to have it for this one program, not to mention I'm not sure if there is one that's compatiable with Vista. Please help. Part of the reason I bought the keychain was that I wanted to have a portable way to have my phone numbers with me, so this is a really big problem for me.
Why not import your contact details into your image editing software, then save them as an image and copy that across ?

Regarding it not working once it's disconnected from the computer.... I called tech support and they said it's a bad battery/faulty charger since I had let it charge for 7 hours and did everything else suggested, so I took it back to the store, exchanged it for another one and it works fine. So if this is a problem, and you did everything else correct, it is probably a bad one, go try another and if a 2nd one doesn't work, I would forget it. I wouldn't have tried a 3rd time. I guess it's a common problem.

I've now returned the original keychain, bought another.... same thing. Returned, bought a third.... same thing. Never works unless plugged into a USB port. I sat on hold two times to customer support for over a half hour. They were useless, one blamed it on the store that they must have damaged it. The other blamed it on the USB cable - which didn't make sense. If it can download pictures, the cable should be fine. I played the game anyway and swapped cables - same result. These things are just pieces of crap!

I was given one of these for a birthday gift. Piece of junk!!! My solution for this problem: throw the darn thing away and buy ANOTHER brand. I bought a different brand for my daughter. She's not even computer literate and she had NO PROBLEMS what so ever with hers!

I am not sure about your large frame, but the n1-510 shows up in my computer as a spare drive, but if you read the properties of it there is no free space. You have to double click the nextar icon in my computer to start the software for it and add photos with the software. The reason windows cant copy your pictures using send to is like I said, there is no free space on the nextar, mine shows up 302Kb used 0kb free.

Ok, I had the same problem of when you plug key chain into the computer, the display at first reads "PC Conect", then after about a minute, it sohws "No photo..Please connect to PC...Update Pictures.
Solution: I plugged it in to usb port and when it came up with "PC Connect", I pressed the 'M' button on the side. Then the display changed to read "PC Connecting", and the software came up on the computer monitor. Wha'la! Problem solved
