My HP vs17 monitor is stuck on my desk as if it was super glued. I tried pulling it off but I don't want to break it. I was wondering if there was any special technique to get it off or do I just need to put some elbow grease into it. I also don't want to break my glass desk.

Pls check if the audio cable from the monitor is connected to the tower. Make sure it is connected to the green port at the back.
Also check the volume button on the side of the monitor and set it to maximum.
If this doesnt work, then try with another pair of external speakers and check.
try booting the computer in safemode you can do this by pressing f8 continuously when the computer is booting until a menu comes up select safemode. If this is unsuccessful then the monitor has a physical issue.
