Question about Dishwashers
I have a Blanco BDW-203 dishwasher - and over recent months it has been making louder and louder whirring noises during the wash cycle. Yesterday, I started a load of dishes, and it just sat there silently. The water heating element was on, and the panel lights were normal - but it did not fill with water(there was no pump sound whatsoever). Any ideas on this one? Thanks in advance.

It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.

there is a #10 torx screw holding that cover down.do not drill it out. after you take it off you can tell if the chopper is broken.be careful for broken glass.
