Cannot access a write protected disk when using IomegaWare with Windows XP SP2, any suggestions?

If you encounter the issue where disks write protected with IomegaWare cannot be accessed when using Windows XP SP2, please use the following steps.
Access the write protect options from My Computer
Open My Computer.
Insert the write protected disk into the drive.
Supply the password, if prompted, and then click OK. If a window does not appear, please continue using the steps below.
Right-click the drive icon.
Select Unprotect from the menu.
Supply the password, if prompted.
Click OK.
Access the write protect options from My Computer
Open My Computer.
Insert the write protected disk into the drive.
Supply the password, if prompted, and then click OK. If a window does not appear, please continue using the steps below.
Right-click the drive icon.
Select Unprotect from the menu.
Supply the password, if prompted.
Click OK.
