The saftey red light keeps coming on

It means that the subwoofer is blown. The red light is called the Protect light. Disconnect the speaker wire from the amp and then turn the amp on and see if the red light goes away. But if as soon as you hook the speaker wires back to the amp and the red light turns on that DEFINATELY means the sub is blown.

Installing APX490 in a boat with 4 speakers and 1 subwoofer. The factory manual shows a diagram with each of the 4 wired to an individual channel and the subwoofer - wired to - terminal of the LF speaker...

A better solution would be
1: Get a seperate amp for the sub itself
2: Run 2 speakers on ch 1 and 2 speakers on ch 2. I assume your speakers are 4 ohms, in stereo mode that amp is stable to 2 ohms. The bridge the subwoofer on ch 3 & 4. That will work if you just want to use that amp. If you need more help you can email me @ thefowlerfam09@yahoo.com Hope this helps...

Audiobahn A2301Q amp, charred RCA wires

If the amp goes into protect with the wires unplugged from the board, the amp likely has more serious problems. It may have a shorted power transformer and almost certainly has shorted output transistors. If you think you may want to try to repair it yourself, read through the following page (particularly the information in the yellow box). Respond to this post if you have more questions.

When I ignite my stereo system the indicator of ignition of my KAC-9102D is blinking

Here is the link for the user manual for your amp if you need it; http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/113/113KAC9102.PDF There appears to be no designed error code indicated by a flashing power light. the light is either on or off.(page 2) I think therefore that your amp has a major problem in the control part of the circuitry, almost certainly something that needs replacing rather than being repairable. if you wish to try yourself then if you can open the amp up, and post us some clear close up photos then we may be able to help. If you wish to find the nearest Kenwood dealer then; http://www.kenwoodusa.com/support/simple.aspx?men=2&M2=38 Hope this helps - sorry if it is bad news :)
