Question about Panasonic NN-P295SF Microwave Oven
Over the range microwave oven, all of a sudden blows 250v 18amp bussfuse when trying to cook. replace fuse, display panel lights up, lights and blower fan work, but when try to cook, blows fuse again. No visible signs of damage to control panel or board. Unsure of next move, could safety switch be possible cause of problem? Any help would be appreciated. Cannot find anything on line to help me with this problem.
If it went dead almost
immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted
If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer. But this is likely an inverter model, so it wouldn't have one and would be some other component in the inverter I'd say.
If it goes dead or blows the breaker (or GFI) when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount.
