My black berry pearl will

-   I have same problem. My 2008 era Pearl worked fine through speakerphone---I could hear them talking and they could hear me. New phones earlier in 2009 doesn't work. Hardware problem, or reset button?-   Guest

-   My black berry pearl will only communicate through the speakerphone feature, not through the handset. Callers have stated that they could hear me on the handset setting, but it was obvious to them that I could not here them..by my consistent hello's. All was fine and then one day this happen...did i push the wrong button or what?
Is their somewhere to reset the phone to default settings? -   Guest

-   Darn ... me too! - I hear nothing ... after I do make contact via speakerphone ... other party indicates they could hear me loud and clear. -   Guest

-   I can only hear the party I am speaking to when I have the speakerphone turned on. The other party can hear me fine at all times. -   Guest

-   I too have this issue.. when I try to make a phone call or answer a call the handset says connected however I am not able to hear the rings (when making a call) or the individual with whom I want to speak with when they answer. They can hear me just fine.-   mrjk322
