My black berry pearl will only communicate through the speakerphone feature, not through the handset. Callers have stated that they could hear me on the handset setting, but it was obvious to them that I could not here them..by my consistent hello's. All was fine and then one day this happen...did i push the wrong button or what? Is their somewhere to reset the phone to default settings?

I too have this issue.. when I try to make a phone call or answer a call the handset says connected however I am not able to hear the rings (when making a call) or the individual with whom I want to speak with when they answer. They can hear me just fine.

I can only hear the party I am speaking to when I have the speakerphone turned on. The other party can hear me fine at all times.

Darn ... me too! - I hear nothing ... after I do make contact via speakerphone ... other party indicates they could hear me loud and clear.

I have same problem. My 2008 era Pearl worked fine through speakerphone---I could hear them talking and they could hear me. New phones earlier in 2009 doesn't work. Hardware problem, or reset button?

One of my Gigaset A400 phones no longer works. I put in new batteries. On the other phone I can only hear callers if it is on speakerphone. What should I do?

You will need to buy a new handset, they are not repaired except under warranty. If it is really old you may have to buy a new phone system.

Can only hear on speakerphone

This speakerphone is a separate speaker from the handset speaker, so if you can't hear through the handset and you have ensured that the volume in your profile is set up to max, then I would have to say there is something wrong with the handset speaker.

Hope this helps,
Bill

My mic doesn't work; callers can't hear me

I don't have the answer but have the same problem. Uniden tech support had me disconnect power, etc. to no avail. Next solution was "replace the unit". I'm looking for a two-line phone with no answering device - use voice mail. Any ideas?

My Curve has done this on occasion. To remedy mine, all I did was take out the battery to reset the phone.

Speakerphone does not work

Try pressing the Feature button and dialing the digit 1. This will turn the microphone on and the MIC lite should turn red. Don't lift the handset or press Speaker, just press Feature 1. This will also turn the MIC off if you want it disabled again.
