Whats up with the RockBand Guitar not syncing....  4 Blue light keep flashing

  • clc1076 Feb 14, 2009

I've tried replacing batteries, unplugging all other USB devices, pushing the white sync buttons, everything. Got this for Christmas and played for about a week and then I didn't touch it for a month. Now I can't get it to work. Mic and drums can sync but not the guitar. I'm EXTREMELY dissapointed in this product; especially after seeing all of these posts on several forums for the same issue with no resolutions..what a piece of C!@P!

Try syncing up one remote so it logs in as player #1 and then press the button to sync the guitar and it should sync up as player #2

Have rockband game been trying to sync guitar but all that keeps happening is the blue lights on guitar and dongle keep flashing. Please help

Are you pressing the sync buttons on the component and then pressing the sync button on the console? It is under the large door on the front of the console.First press the guitar sync, then it should give you a couple of seconds to press the console sync.If the light goes to constant blue,it is synched.Do the same for the other component.Good luck and rock on!

I have two guitars for Rockband 2 and they both keep on blinking.

You have to sync them to the console just like you do with normal controlers. Press the sync button and then press the sync button on the console.

My first guitar works perfect. The second, with my second wii controler does not works. All light flashing on the controler.Nothing happens

I would try putting the controller that you know works into the 2nd guitar. If the guitar works with the good controller then you will know that it's an issue with your other controller opposed to there being a problem with the 2nd guitar.

Please correct me if i'm wrong and misunderstanding you.

I would also make sure that the controller that keeps flashing works without any guitar. Just try playing one of your other games that doesn't require the guitar - that way you know it works. If it keeps flashing like that then we need to advance to some other steps.

I think that the lights flashing probably means that the remote isn't being recognized by the system.

I know that sometimes if the battery is really low the remote will flash and then shut off; I would definately just try replacing the batteries to see if that helps as well. (just to eliminate some of the more simple possibilities)

Let me know how this all plays out for you - I can always dig deeper into the problem if I didn't help you.

Wireless Les Paul guitar light keeps flashing after I sync to 360

I had the excact same problem with a Microsoft wireless controller. It just showed it synced fine and the controller dropper off the rig right after, keeping blinking idly as always when unconnected.

Solution: When you power the console on with the X button on the controller, try pressing the connect button on the controller then, apparently the console looks for controllers when it's just opening the user interface. Had to try it twice but it synced fine just as I was giving up hope, and has been working ever since!

Rockband - WII - wont let me add more than one band member!!!

When starting up Rock Band, make sure that no more than one Wiimote is activated (two if you are using one for a bass/guitar). If any are, they will over ride the drums and guitar in priority.

Make sure that only the drums, wireless guitar, microphone (controlled by the Wiimote) and 2nd guitar (whether the fender type with built in wireless OR, but NOT AND, a 2nd guitar that uses a Wiimote).

If more than the max number of wiimotes are turned on when you power up the game, reset your console, and wait to start Rockband until the other wiimotes no longer show a light.

Good luck!`

Rock band guitar will not sync to wii

For me it was the white box that connects to the back of the wii. I tried everything from changing batteries in the guitar, to pressing white button on guitar, to restarting while holding white button down to screaming at the wii. Then I bought a new rockband guitar at best buy and the new guitar did not work until I swapped the white box (dongle?) that connects to the back of the Wii. One is for the drums and the other is for the guitars and mic. Hope this helps.
