Re: LG WD-8013F Washing Machine Water Sensor
It is located at the end of a rubber tube coming from the bottom of the drum.
there may be blockage in the level
sensing tube, a rubber hose from the bottom of the drum to the water
level pressure sensor. disconnected the hose at the pressure sensor,
gave a big blow into it by mouth to dislodge the foreign material,
(blow until you hear bubbles in the water) . After clearing the tube, you need to pump out any water in the
drum and then reconnect the hose to the pressure sensor.

Water level sensor fault
This fault code is fairly self-explanatory and tells you that the washing machine has detected an error with the pressure sensor or pressure switch. It is rare to see this error code on LG washers.
On non-display panel models this fault code can be shown by the lights for fuzzy, heating and speedy or super, normal and hold being lit or flashing.
The IE or E1 error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve
If you are trying to use the machine manually, there needs to be enough water in the machine to tell the level sensor when to switch off the water inlet solenoid valve. Failing this, the machine will only show IE (Inlet Error) and refuse to work.
I have today the same error code on model WD-11155FB. This code means that the speed of the electrical motor can no longer be controlled. The velocity sensor placed just behind the motor is probably damaged but it can be also the electronic board where is connected this sensor, or the wiring between these two items.
Water level sensor must be malfunctioning and possibly needs to be replaced and/or water inlet electric valve is malfunctioning (getting no "signal" from level sensor to stop filling). Turn of the machine, unplug it, turn off the water and call the repairman unless you'd like a flood or the fire in the house!
