How to fix: Make sure the password or key is entered into the Wii exactly as it appears in your router's settings. Keep in mind that security keys are case sensitive. A simple typo may be causing the problem.
Don't know how to find your router's password or key?
Look for a sticker on the bottom of your router. Many routers provided by Internet service providers have their default password located on a sticker on the bottom of the router.

I keep getting error code: 51330 when trying to connect wirelessly to the internet.

This was the information on error code 51330 on Nintendo.com

Error Code: 51330
Unable to connect to your wireless network

Likely cause: It appears that the password (also known as a WPA or WEP key) entered into the Wii console is not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow.

I have a wii, and it is asking mefoe a security key or password. how do i find it

If you only have that modem, and no wireless router, the Wii isn't going to hook into your internet.
If you do have a router, the password is the one you need to hook up wireless with a computer or laptop, and would have been set up by you.

I have WII and Linksys. Can not connect it to internet. Yes, I know my wireless password key.

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. If you need the Network Key you need to access the Wireless Settings Page.

To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.1.1, the Default username is blank and the password is admin. Go to the Wireless Tab select Wireless Security under the Security Mode you will see there Network Key. The Network Key or Wep Key serves as a password or security code on your network to make it secure.
Thanks for using Fixya.

I bought a wireless router and when I try to hook it up to the wii I do the test and it says error code 50300

Error code 50300 for the Wii signifies that your wireless settings are not correct. What you have to do is go into the Wii Internet setup, and make sure that the settings on your Wii are identical to the setup in the wireless router that you are trying to use. The most common problems include:

1) SSID, which is the name of the wireless network that you setup in the router.

2) The WEP or WPA key, which is the security password that you setup for either of the security protocols that the wireless networks use. You should definitely use the WPA security protocol as the WEP protocol was hacked some time ago.

3) Any manual settings you may have setup, such as whether you are using a fixed TCIP address or a dynamic one.

If you setup the router yourself then you should be able to check the settings on the Wii on your own to verify they are correct. If you had someone else setup the router, use the following link on the Nintendo website which will help you go through the Wii settings to ensure all is well:

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/results.jsp?error_code=50300&system=Wii&locale=en_US

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.

Internet connection

Your Wii will only connect properly to your wireless router by the setting WEP any others and you get problems. Set your router to WEP and encription strenth to 64bit, enter a WEP key "or passphrase to generate a WEP key" its a 10 digit password for your wireless security. Oh also nintendo will only work on chanel mode G&B not G not B but G&B.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Matt
