Alignment error after replacing black ink. Lexmark X5495
My Lexmark X5495 is showing align plain paper after turning on. After doing so, when I goto print a standard document, the printer eats the right side of the paper, inturn causing a paper jam.
I figured I may be able to get it in alignment by running an evvelope through a print. The envelope prints perfectly. Then I tried plain paper once more, and still nothing. It just eats the paper on the right side and causes a jam.
Re: Alignment error after replacing black ink. Lexmark...
I found a pencil inside my printer and took it out. It was not easy but now it does not jams the paper. Disconnect the power cord and softly shake the printer from side to side making sure you are holding on to the top scanner door so it won't flip open and listen for anything rolling or loose inside. It just might be your problem.
