Maybe It's a hidden file and your PC's "windows explorer" is not setup to show hidden files? - In the settings there is also an option to FORMAT the MP3 player if you dig deep enough.. that should get rid of it.. Rob@ammoman.com

Cant play video

1. Turn on the MP3 player, go to Settings/Setup - System - Change USB mode to MSC
2. Connect the MP3 player to the computer
3. The MP3 player will show up as a Removable Disk drive under 'My Computer'
4. Double click on it, it will load Coby Media Manager, follow prompts to install
5. Click the 'Movie' tab at the left hand side of Coby Media Manager, the software will scan your computer for video files.
6. Once your video shows, right click the video, and click 'Sync', this will add the video file to your MP705 with the correct format.

If it might take some time to show options sometimes not   After having the options  CLICK in " FORMAT"  and just click Start....BEFORE YOU CLICK  START IT WILL SHOW A WARNING MESSSAGE OF IT WILL DELETE EVERYTHING  .... AGAIN EVERYTHING !!!!! IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE ALL DELETED THEN I CAN NOT DO MUCH MORE TO HELP YOU   GOOD LUCK .

Emerson 4GB MP3 player EMP513-4 files don't show in Windows

Not a problem. Microsoft Digital Rights Management (required by RIAA and record companies) enforces one copy per song only. Otherwise you are a pirate. Buy another copy of the song. "Arrgh, me matey," says the parrot.

It might be a dump question, but what do you have to do to see your micro sd card in the player? When I inserted the micro sd card, the player said "refresh database" but then I could not find the card...

Power up the player and goto settings scroll to info push enter.. This will show you how much info is on the player and the card plus the free space on both....push menu button again and scroll to music or whatever video, voice,,scroll to artist push enter... Look here for your files check where it says Unknown....If you still can't fine your stuff take out the card connect to the computer format the player when finished put the card back in and you will only have that info on the player.....When putting music or any file on the player make sure they are not hidden files......Open explorer goto tools scroll to folder options click on view click do not show hidden files or folders.....If your files are hidden right click on file click property you will see attributes remove all checks click apply....

If you plug in the mp3 player then goto device manger via the control panel (hardware and sound) it will show up there as an uninstalled item. Righ click on it and select update driver and hopefully vista will search and find the apropiate driver for it.

Alternatively try the manufactures website for vista drivers.

Unfortunately not all hardware products are vista compatable yet :(
