Blue tinting appearing on the right side of screen on vpl-es1 projector

I have a blue tinting appearing on the right side of screen on vpl-es1 projector. It appears to be changing shape on a daily basic. I have also notice a slight burn in of a tv show logo in the same area. Any thoughts on how to fix this would be helpful. John

Its more of a blue blob that was moving around and now takes up about 1/3 of the screen. When there is a channel logo at the bottom it will leave a faint ghosted image of that logo behind after the actual logo is gone but it will soon fade away. I will try to post a photo of the screen soon.

We have a few of these in the school where I work and one of them has developed this nasty blue blob fault as well. I thought it was the bulb but when I swapped it out the problem remained.

A warning in the manual was given as to be carefull when using this projector with games as some parts of the screen will not move, just like if you watch Tv on it and there is a channel logo in one corner that doesn't move! It burns the display like it would on a pc monitor if no screen saver set. This is not a problem you can fix, that is perminant damage to the lcd in the projector!! S Platt

Does the blue tint show up as small rectangular pixel shapes when you get up close to the screen when focused properly. This would indicate a blue LCD panel fault. If it's fuzzy then possibly a blue polarizer overheating

Sony VPL-CS5 menu will not display

Give input signal to the projector and see that if the menu appears or not on the screen.
if menu comes on the screen then put the backgroung color to blue, instaed of black.

if nothing comes on the screen, then the LCD panels are faulty.
