Give this free utility a whirl. You can address cookies and temp files, etc., in Firefox

Opera, and/or Internet Explorer browsers.

There's another free utility at CCleaner's Home Page.

Will reformatting my hard drive save it the disk from going out?

There isn't any way of fixing a failing hard disk (it is nearly worn out).
You need a new hard disk, but in the mean time backup your data regularly before the hard disk fails completely.

How can i get product key for norton 2010

If you really want to protect your PC you will have to find a better security program than Norton. I have removed so many infections from friends and families computers who were using Norton Anti-virus, and I really do have to wonder if that program even works at all.

AVG is a far better program, and even the free edition of AVG will do a far better job of protecting your PC than Norton ever will, and the free edition of AVG will actually keep infections out of your PC unlike the paid version of Norton, and everyone that I have set up with AVG has really been satisfied with how it performs, and I use it myself because I have not found any program that does the job better.

You might also want to install an anti-mal-ware program as well, and mal-ware is different from viruses and other infections, and your anti-virus program will not detect mal-ware, and the best program that I have found for that is Malwarebytes, and even the free edition of that program will work very well and it will do what it claims to do, get rid of mal-ware on your PC and Malwarebytes does that job very well.

Here are the links if you would like to try them out, and they will certainly purge the infections and mal-ware from your PC, and they are free programs so you really have nothing to loose, but you will have a lot to gain in PC security. If it were my PC, or someones infected PC that I was working on, I would delete Norton from the PC and I would install the AVG and the Malwarebytes.

If installing these programs pay attention to the installation because you have the option not to install any toolbars into your browser that you do not want or need, like a google or yahoo toolbar, and if you do not want them or need them then just un-check the boxes when they come up on the installation screen and it is not difficult to do at all.

I have a samsung notepad laptop.it has no disk drive and has a trojan virus on it which wont even allow me to get onto the internet.i was given norton security with it but with no disk drive how do they...

norton should be able to scan 'flash memory', and remove mal-ware. click on my computer, choose your flash drive- right click and choose 'scan'. since norton came with your 'netbook', it should be able to clean your 'flashdrive'- do you have any usb peripheral drives connected? norton should detect, and clean them, as well! make sure you 'update' your norton definitions first- if you can! try un-plugging any peripherals, before you run it. if it cleans up- then upgrade your norton definitions, and reconnect any peripherals, and run norton on them!! norton should allow you to chose which device to check!
good luck!

Whenever I turn on my laptop it goes to the screen that says safe mode, safe mode with networking etc... then when i click say start windows normaly it has blue screen that stays for 2 secs and then the...

Select safe mode !

If it finishes booting into safe mode then you can try another re-start.

If on the other hand it does not work after being in safe mode the issue may lie in some software you have recently installed or new hardware.

in either case remove that hardware or software (in safe mode) and try again.
If it still insists on re-booting when you select normal then I would begin looking at possible mal-ware, spy-ware or virus issues.

Should you get a specific error message then that may also be useful in troubleshooting issues.

Internet explore be restarting when im on different web sites

You might have Mal-Ware on your pc.

Find your self a good anti-mal ware program and run it daily or at least weekly.

I like the following 2 programs to clean up my pc: Spy-Bot and CCleaner.

I also suggest using a different browser. FireFox is my browser of choice and is quite better at security than IE is (my opinion)

Power on password for DV6000

I have a utility I use whenever I work on someone's computerwho has forgotten their PW, or have inherited it from others, etc. anddon't have the PW. It might help with your trouble. At the very least,it won't help and no harm done.

You can download from my website at;

http://home.centurytel.net/vfw_987/ntpb.zip

Simplysave the file to your computer and unzip it. Make sure there is a1.44mb floppy in the floppy drive and run the install.bat file. Thenreboot from the floppy drive and follow the prompts. The program willblank all Windows passwords and you can then reboot and enter a new PWor not, as you prefer.

For the life of me, I don't remember where I originally got this utility, but it works.

Anyway, it's a possibility of a solution, but you gotta trust me on this and trust is almost as rare as honesty, especially in this faceless media. I won't be offended if you ignore this or scan the utility with a mal-ware program. In fact, I recommend it!

Hope this helps.
