-   yea i am also looking for somone that knows how to bypass this from what iv heard that all the wire is looking for is 12v like its says in the manual you haveto hook it to the barking break "light" which when its on it sends power to the wire which in turn lets you use the dvd player. becouse im installing my unit tomorow so i hope this is right LOL :) let me know if that works for you or somone let me know if thats even right.-   pwnstar101
you should be able to just ground the parking brake wire, but some HUs require a switchable or auto pulse signal. so you can either connect the wire and a ground to a two-way toggle switch and just switch it on and off, <--------for kenwoods or just buy this auto switcher that goes through the switching sequence automaticly once you power up your unit.<--------for Kenwoods. I know that for Pioneers if you want to use the togle switch, you Must switch OFF:ON-OFF-ON. to "trick" the unit. so a auto pulse is worth buying for the Pioneers.

Are there units that fit into the last opening of the overhead console? Are the ones that are being installed aftermarket fitting in there or behind that overhead console? Any suggestions of ones that you have found to work would be greatly appreciated.
