PC - dies no power, but comes to life after a few days if left unplugged. Then it works and at somepoint dies again (no fans, power, etc) How do I fix?

My first thought would be that it is a power supply problem. But, before replacing the power supply, unplug the power cord from computer and wall plug, plug it in a gain making sure it goes in all the way.
If still flaky, its probably a power supply problem.
Hope it helps.

My HP Pavilion dv7 will randomly restart itself, but Only when the battery is being charged. It never happens unless the charger is plugged in. I am not moving the computer when it dies, sometimes it does...

not shut off, right, it reboots, but never actually shuts off.
so the battery is bad.
if the PC runs ok, no big battery the battery is bad.
the all love to short why expect less from any relic battery.?
and the RTC coin cell is too relic>? yah most geek shops cant fix thing , no ports to fix them..
after all no 2 laptops are the same, (sux in my book)
buy a battery , if the AC pack runs the PC all day.

Ok when this happens it takes a considerable time for the battery to recover, you should plug in the adapter and leave it for at least overnight without using it, hopefully then after that the battery will be charged. This is very common.

Laptop suddenly shut off and will not turn back on

Sometimes the voltage regulator in the battery hit a point where they fall below a certain efficiancy % they have to operate at. Once they fall below that % you must replace them, even if the battery is 100% charged. Its usually a good idea to pick up a new charger as well with a new battery since they are known to die as well. Make sure you check the socket in the back where your charger plugs into the laptop to make sure its not loose or cracked. Sometimes the plug will crack off the motherboard and not make good enough contact.. But regardless of that it should atleast turn on if the battery was charged and good. Best bet, new battery. Every 2 years you should get a new one.

Pocke pc keeps resetting

I have 2 camcorder batteries that are totally dead. No matter how long I leave them plugged in, they aren't coming back to life.
Everything has a life span and it looks like your battery has reached the end of its life. If the e405 works on AC but not battery, then I have to suspect the batteries are now duds.
Time to go shopping on ebay!
