Um im trying to download the aim APP on my itouch and i got to it and everything, i pressed the free icon, i pressed install then something pops up and says, enter account info: username&password. at first i thought it meant my aim so i tried that then it said your itunes password was inncorrect?.. then i tried my wyfi and stuff but i can get onto youtube and the internet so its weird. can somebody tell me what it means lol..
I'm pretty sure it was asking for your iTunes password. Have you created an iTunes account yet? You need that account to download pretty much everything from the iTunes store, including free apps like AIM. Signing up for the account is pretty easy. Follow this link:

When an app closes immediately this is known as the app "crashing." The first thing you should do is make sure that your itouch has the latest software update available. This can be done by hooking the unit up to itunes, and clicking the update button. Also try restoring the unit with itunes. You will lose all of the data on the itouch, so make sure you have all your data backed up with itunes. If you have any further questions feel free to contact www.wiredextreme.com.
While your itouch is connected to your computer, and itunes is open, press and hold the sleep/off button (the one on the top of the itouch) until the slider comes up on the screen. Slide the slider to turn off the itouch. Now, press and hold the home button (the one right below the screen) and at the same time, press the off/sleep button again. Hold both until you see your itunes page bring up a "restore" feature. Unfortunately, when restoring, you will lose all data (songs, etc..) Hopefully, you have this data in itunes and can easily download it back onto your itouch. This is the only thing that works. Sucks that you lose everything, but at least your itouch will once again work....
Try removing that app from your iPod, then download it again from the App Store (free re-downloads) or if it is on your computer, simply connect your iPod and upload it back onto your iPod. That always works for me.
It could be a bad file. If you're resetting your device, and then adding you music and such back, there may be some bad song, or app that is corrupting your device. On my Mp3 player, it would get stuck on a song that wasn't really there, so I found some corrupt goofy Weird Al song, removed it, and it never happened again.
I had exactly the same problem, you have to sync them on itunes. Plug in your itouch, open itunes and make sure it is the version with an applications section in the libary. Then click on your itouch in Devices go to the end applications tab and you have to sync them. This worked for me.
I dont know if this will work for you guys but i had the same problem but when i download a new app the problem goes away. It works for me whenever this happens and hopefully it will work for you too, so just get some crappy free app then delete it later.
The easiest way to download to your iTouch is directly to your iTouch via the Apple Store. The Apple Store icon is already on your iTouch. Just make sure you are near an internet connection via Airport or Wi Fi. Click on "Download" on the selected app, and then wait a couple of seconds. Your iTouch will indicate when the download is done and the app is installed. You will see the new icon on your your screen page.
If you install from your computer, you will have to plug your iTouch into the computer and use the iTunes app to control what you download.
