Question about Sony KV-32V16 TV
My brother brought this TV to my home and plugged the cable into it, but it will only go up to Channel 26 and then the rest of the stations are snow. I should be able to get 99 stations with my cable...also the stations that are on the channels are different from what they were on my other television. My brother said I need to get a converter box from my cable company to get the rest of the channels...is he right or is he missing something?
I called our cable company about getting a converter box and it ended up I didn't need one after all. The cable rep told me to go to the menu and try the auto-programming. He was familiar with the TV I have and said that a converter box is not necessary. So, I tried the auto-programming and still didn't get all the channels...then I noticed on the menu for the channel set up there was the word "Cable" and after it it said "Off" so, I switched that to "On" and did the auto-programming, and Presto! I got all my channels.
