Question about Bose Lifestyle 28 II System

Open Question

DVD Plays sound but TV says no sync

TV and sound works on everything except CD/DVD, remote works to change TV channels, volume on BOSE system, change from AM, FM, CD/DVD, cable/satilite, aux, stored, TV, VCR. This happened once before and when we replaced our TV the person who installed it did something to the BOSE system and it worked fine for the last 18 months. Now it is doing the same thing it did before we replaced our TV.

SOURCE: Bose Lifestyle 28 Sound Problem

I also get this problem sometimes with mine. Usually when you call Bose they suggest that you do a "hard" reset meaning you unplug the power cord from the wall and wait about one min. Then plug the unit back in and it should work.
The other thing that you can try if the system still isn't working is to check that all the wires running into and out of the sub-woofer are all plugged in and aren't loose.

If either of these two solutions don't work you can alway call Bose tech support @ 1-877-210-3782 (they are open Monday Friday: 8:30 AM 8:00 PM ET)

The remote control is dead; I cann't turn on the command center of BOSE

i would suggest teh best and cheapest solution as remotes for those are really expensive go to amazon.con or a local walmart and purchase a logitec harmony remote series 420 or higher (the 420 or 520 are around 40 bucks now) and it will plug into your pc you tell it what all you have i.e tv model. bose model etc. and it will auto but all the commands on the remote with a screen on the remote for more options PLUS it will also let you set up activities such as watch tv which will automatically turn on tv , turn on your sound system to the right input and the remote will control the volume of the sound system and channels for the tv instead of hitting dvd/life style system button for sound then hittin tv button for channels. i hope this helps.

The volume does not change when connected to my tv. The volume does change when i play dvd's. I have had it working before but since I have moved it does not. please help.

TV remote varies the TV amplifier drive - you are probably plugged into the "line" output of the TV (which is before the TV amplifier). Line out is a fixed level (your DVD preamplifier is controlled by the DVD remote).

Anyway, with the TV on - go to the home theater box and increase the volume there. Once you get that set, you should be able to use the Home theater remote to always control the volume for everything displayed on your TV (except channel changes)

Can't get video to work so bose works with tv sound

We fixed it. We had everything hooked up right, but - stupid us - we didn't turn the sound off on the TV. Once I turned the TV's sound setting to off, I flipped the speaker switch a few times on the Bose remote, then turned up the volume on the Bose and it worked.

If your remote worked everything for a few weeks and then quit, and you are sure the codes are correct, take the remote back under the 1 year replacement warranty and exchange it. It is defective.

My digital comcast remote will do everything except change the channel on my magnavox TV. Volume/power control is fine. How can I fix it?

your tv needs to stay on the same channel for the cable box to work with the tv and you change the channel on the cable box not directly on the tv

No sound from my TV!! HELP!!

assume its a bose system 12 (non digital or digital ?)
if you clarify the model of both tv and bose system i will tell you precisely how to connect tv to bose system,

but i must assume first that your cable box is connected to your tv via a scart cable , you must remove sound function from the cable and plug directly into cd5 unit on either auxillary or video input , then turn cd5 unit to that channel to play sound and use bose reomte to control volume (ok)
i would doubt thatthe TV has a audio output, many dont.... also it may be necessary to buy a scart to RCA cable at your local electronics shop or supermarket to completet he task at hand.

if however you are digital.....
make sure you are connectiong bose digital input to a digital (dolby 5.1 compatible) sound source.

sorry if you think i have over simplified the problem !

respect

No sound

First I will try the following

1. Go into the Setup Screen (via your remote), there are some audio setting. Change it to see it makes a difference. Make sure it is not muted.

2. change from 2 Channel to 6.1/5.1 channels. At the bottom of the remote, there are a bunch of audio setting, play with it and see if it makes a difference.
