I am trying to hook up a dvd player to an RCA model 27R411T transmitter and I can not change the screen to the DVD screen via the remote control unit. I can switch out of the TV screen in that the tv will not change channels when (TV) is not selected, the DVD player is not present (viewable) when the (DVD) button is pushed on the remote control. Any help is appreciated.

Dvd hookup

It sounds that you are connected the TV with DVD player Via AV cable. In this case, no RF channels won't go. You have to select its AV option. Check it. Refer the user manual for TV.

As there is no Menu button on the front panel of the TV, you must have its remote control to select inputs.

How do I hook up a dvd player?

Hello Andy, Hi!, you can hook up your DVD in 3 ways. 1. using standard RCA cables, 2, using Svideo cables, and 3. using HDMI cables. Depending on your player. I suggest you buy the RCA cable. they are color coded so the yellow goes to the player Video out to the TV video in, red and white cables goes to the Left and Right channel of the player audio out to the TV audio in. thats it.

Have you tried just hoooking up the DVD player by itself? Is the DVD player output setting correct? Also, make sure the "video input" is set for the correct channel that you are viewing (i.e. Channel 3).
