1991 Mazda MX-6 starts and it dies within 30 seconds or less.

The car starts from time to time but it dies on it's own. I have to wait a few minutes before I can restart it but again it dies after running for a few seconds. I had the alternator checked and it turn out good.Need advise.

Check to see fi your fuel pump is functioning, also change the fuel filter. I had this same problem on a 1984 626. While i waited for the car to restart fuel would seep into the line to allow for the enging to startbe that was it.

AFTER TIMING 1991 FORD THUNDERBIRD ENGINE WILL RUN BUT DIES AFTER FEW MINUTES

First take the mass air flow sensor off and clean the small thin wires inside using a non-chlronated brake cleaner then let it dry for 10 minutes then re-install it and see if the problem still exist. If the problem still exist then check the fuel pressure while its running. It should be 30-40 psi if its the 3.8 engine non-superchared and 30-45 for the 5.0 engine. If its not within these specs then replace the fuel pump.
