Did u try checking the USB cord?Sumtimes faulty cords can coz problems.Try videoing normally thru ur webcam without the internet. Most webcams come equipped wit a software that allows u to film or tek photos using ur webcam.U can use that software or (if u have windows) u cud go to start>accessories>camera&scanning wizard.
And if that doesnt work try to check the settings in yahoo massenger.Go to messenger>privacy settings>click the related tabs and good luck.
And if that doesnt work,,,,,,,,try windows live messenger....
Open a chat window and go to tools>audio and video setup(or something like that) and follow the instructions.
Thats all i gt..........Hope it works 4 u.
If evrything fails,u shud get a new and more simple webcam.....XD or try getting help from the proffesional people,

Cannot get webcam to work with Yahoo

Sometimes those cameras simply are not compatible and you are better off getting a separate USB webcam. Before getting another one, try to uninstall your camera and then reinstall the software from scratch.

Webcam probleem

Check your settings

Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start - if you have been using it elsewhere the Yahoo software may have difficulty in locating it. Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in, if yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, unless the software has a feature for this.
Of all the chat programs, Yahoo is the most painful software to set up but if you follow these instructions you should be ok.

IN USE
Sometimes you have to juggle the controls to get the webcam connection - dont be afraid to use the 'with proxies' setting - if that's what it takes - use it !!

A4tech black or blank screen problem

Test your webcam here, by hitting "allow" in top window and assess your cam in left panel.
If it works there you know the Hardware is ok (webcam/lead/USB etc)
Test it in Yahoo
Re-boot the webcam by unplugging it from the USB and plugging it back in again
Open Messenger - Click (>) Messenger > My webcam > OK
Your webcam should launch - if it fails to do so you have a software problem.
Try updating your driver from the Imaging folder in Device Manager
Expand the folder, right click on your webcam text and select "Update driver" opt for Internet, when prompted.
No luck ?
Uninstall webcam software from Programs.
Restart computer
Go to A4Tech website and download software

Once your webcam is working on your computer, you can configure it to Yahoo Messenger.
