When I turn it on I get this screen and either option says please wait it's been several hours like this. What can I do?

hi,your laptop isn't loading windows, you can try rebooting it and keep tapping F8 button as its booting. you will get a menu pop up.move down to "start windows in safe mode" see if it will boot up then. if it dosent boot you will need a new hard drive. if it dose boot you can have a look at bad programs that could be stopping it and fix while in safe mode. this is assuming the laptop was running ok before this problem ? also if you have anything plugged into the laptop take them out ( not the charger )

I have IBM P3 and i want to change win xp but its not booting pliz help me and it doen't give me option of booting

Turn the computer on. Keep your eyes glued to the bottom of the monitor screen. This usually comes by fast, so keep your eyes peeled.

When the computer manufacturer logo screen comes up, look for the -> enter CMOS Setup, or enter BIOS Setup, <- key to press.

Write it down.
If Windows loads on your computer, allow it to load, and run for a few minutes.
Turn the computer off normally.
WAIT 20 seconds, or so; then turn the computer back on.

AS SOON AS you press the Power On button, start tapping on the enter BIOS Setup key. (Or enter CMOS key)
Tap in 2 second intervals.

If you hear beeps ignore them. They are Stuck Key Error Code beeps, and it is you that is doing it.

Once you get into BIOS. look for Boot Options.
In Boot Options set the first boot device to CDROM.

REMEMBER, you have to Save Changes, or it will be like you have done nothing at all.

Ran the Tshibery disk recovery disk. Completed and

Complete the recovery again but leave the discs in the computer. That way if the computer needs some files while rebooting it will take them off the cd....if not it will load and that will be the end of that. Just remember when you boot the computer for the first time to initiate the recovery, when it says to boot from cd touch any key...that is only done one time when you first initiate the recovery...after that do not touch any key if it says that...just let windows boot on it own. Once windows boots on its own, then you can take the recovery disc out and put it away.

I went to reformat and the computer took a mind of its own, not letting me!

Please try to reboot PC and get to the BIOS,

Pressing F2, DEL or ESC key during bootup, and change there the Boot Priority, Boot from CD.

Let me know the result, otherwise I will investigate further.

Also let me know the Hardware Detail of your PC.
