Access to the bottom of the baffles for tightening the screws requires the lifting of the top cover which also requires the removal of the front panel. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.
The top panel can be lifted only after the front panel is removed. Open
the door and remove the four screws located vertically along the
inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to
the front shroud assembly.
Once the four screws are removed,
grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then
twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt
the top of the front panel and move it away from the dryer.
top panel is held on each side of the cabinet by two hold down
brackets. Locate and remove the 5/16" hex-head screws holding each
bracket then swing the bracket to the outside and unhook it from the
slot in the top panel lip.
Open the door then lift the front of
the top panel and tilt it toward the rear of the dryer.
Rotate the drum until the baffle screws are positioned on the top for tightening.
the top panel and the front panel by following the removal steps in
Open the top ... held down with spring clips ... remove the front panel ... probably 2 to 4 screws ... be careful of the wires ... unplug the machine of course. Remove the drum ... but first observe the belt arrangement so you can reinstall. Tighten the 'fins'. Reverse the procedure.
You can use a pry or large screw driver to pop the top. Be careful of the finish.
there are two clips located between the front part in the frontpush those clips in and lift it up rest it back out of the way some of the dryers have small bolts holdind the fins on if so tighten them up and some dryers have only push in plasic clips these fins have to be replaced i certainly hope that i was able to help you and by the way close the lid, thank you.
Refer to pages 5-2 and 5-3 of the manual below to see how to expose the drum by lifting the top of the machine. Then turn drum very slowly and only until the screw holes for the missing fins are within your reach. Most of these dryers have two sizes of fins make sure you order the right one if you need to replace them.
Take the door off. Do this by first loosening the screws on the hinge. Then loosen the screws on the left (they hold on a plastic flange-type thing) that hold the front panel on. Once it's loosened, then the door hinge will have room to wiggle out. Once the door is off, then the front panel will swing down--and you can lift it off the flanges that hold the bottom of the door. Now you have access to the drum and can reinstall the fin.
Unplug the dryer, remove the door hinge screws that go into the cabinet and the two screws on the opposite side of the door opening, then the front panel can be removedby starting at the top. Once the front is off, there are two screws, one to each side that hold the top on, remove these and raise the top. You can rotate the drum by hand and the baffles are held on by the screws on the outside of the drum. Reassemble in reverse order.
you should be able to Open the top of the Dryer, from front to back, U might need to pry the front corners up with a flat tip screw driver. It should hinge to the back, to expose the Tub... Hope this Helps U...
