You'll need to tip up the machine to access the pump/hoses.

Remove them and inspect.

The penney are in the outside dren befor it que to the impel

If in outside of drum remove the door seal and tilt machine forward to make coins slide to front Lever the drum back with piece of wood .Not too hard as you may distort the drum. Then slim finders may slikde pennies out or use Blu Tack on a stick. Also check the trap at the pump in case coins trapped there or even any in the pump

Can I leave the coins in the washing machine? Will it hurt the machine?

Hello there Kathleen and welcome to fixya:
Well although these pennies may not post a immediate problem but if left in there they may be able to get into the machines pump which could result in a failure of the pump due to it getting clogged.
So i would highly recommend removing the pennies and any other debris that may be in there to help prevent any thing going wrong with the machine ok
Hope this helps
Best regards michael

Model wte6600sw2 has a trouble code of LD and will not reset after draining washer with vacum it still does the same.

There will still be water in the outer tub you will not be able to remove with the vac. and the pressure sensor will detect this. If the water isn't draining properly, pull the pump, inspect for pennies etc, if nothing found then replace the pump. I've seen these washer pumps go bad a few times.

I heard a noise that sounded like it was grinding marbles and now it will not work and there is water in the washer.

“”I heard a noise that sounded like it was grinding marbles and now it will not work and there is water in the washer.””
With the washer not working do you have an error code to the LED display? Can expand on the washer not working?
Do you here the grinding noise in wash/agitate cycle when the tumblers are turning?
If so you need to remove the tumblers and see if there are any coins under the tumblers. See page 37 of the Service Manual.
The SM doesn’t call out the torx driver size required for tumbler removal it’s a #20 torx driver.
You can enter into Service Mode and empty the wash water with this process.
To pump out the excess tub water;
I would go to page 16 of the SM lower right hand part of page, Board Output Test and turn on the drain pump in service mode to pump out the tub.
Enter Service Mode by simultaneously pressing and holding the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or the display reads “00”
Pressing the Delicates key will lock the lid. Now press the Presoak key the drain pump will turn on. Stop with off button or hit the Presoak key.

Water will drain out

I had the same problem-you have to open up the bottom front panel and unhook the filter. (has two clips that you need to unhook before you remove it) (If you are a woman-find a guy to do this-I cursed on those clips for two days before I was able to get them back on!) Make sure to put a bowl or a towel underneath as all the sitting/stinky water in the filter that is stuck there will come out. I found a sock and pennies!
