Downloaded songs appear in iTunes library but won't play on comp

I downloaded songs from my TTUSB05 into my iBook G4 using EZ Audio Converter. The songs' title, artist and artwork appear in my iTunes library (and iPod) but will not play - it skips to the next song in the menu that wasn't downloaded from the TTUSB05.

I have the same problem.  I received the TTUSB 10 for x-mas.  Running this through an IMAC.  When I transfer the vinyl, everything appears normal.  I have sound and the recording bars show.  It automatically drops over to my itunes, but when I go into itunes to play the transferred music, nothing happens although all my other itune songs are fine.  Any help would be appreciated.

I discovered the cure - with the turntable plugged into the computer, go to system preferences. Under "Hardware" hit the sound icon and change 'sound effects', 'output', and 'input' to the USB item to record. Change the setting back when you play the song back in iTunes.

I had this frustrating problem with my MacBook Pro. The solution (changing the Sound settings to USB) WORKED!

  • schmally98 Jan 05, 2009

After experimenting, I found that only "sound effects" and "input" should be set to 'USB'; "output" can be kept at internal and you can hear the record as you record and play back in iTunes without resetting. I also found that my iBook also automatically goes to these settings when I plug in the turntable. Easy solution to a very frustrating problem.

I had exactly the same problem and followed the OP's solution, which worked, but I couldn't hear the track as it was being recorded.  So I tweaked the solution.  If you do the following, you don't have to keep changing System Preferences as you switch from record to listening:
Go to System Preferences, press the Sound icon, and click on "Sound Effects."  Then select the drop down menu and select "Play alerts and sound effects through selected sound output device" rather than the USB choice.  Then click on "Output" and select how you want to listen; I used speakers so I selected "Headphones" where the port is "Built-in audio."  Then click on "Input" and select the USB choice.  Now record a track and you can hear it being recorded through your speakers (or headphones).  When it's done recording and after the software transfers it to iTunes, you can play it again through your speakers without going to the preferences panel.

What is Apple FairPlay?

FairPlay is built into the QuickTime multimedia software and used by the iPhone, iPod, iPad, Apple TV, iTunes, and iTunes Store and the App Store. Users will encounter Fairplay DRM technology when they buy iTunes movies/TV shows, Apps or even eBooks from iTunes store. Also, Apple Music is FairPlay DRM protected.

• Can't play iTunes movies on other video players like Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player, etc.
• Can't stream iTunes movies, TV show, music, etc. to PS4, PS3, Chromecast, Roku, etc.
• Can't read the DRM-protected iBooks on common e-readers, like Amazon Kindle, Kobo, Nook, etc.

How do I download music from iTunes to my mp3 player?

HEYA

First of all open itunes

Link your MP3 player to your computer while the iTunes software is loaded on the computer. By itself, iTunes serves as an audio player for your computer. You can transfer audio files to your MP3 player using a USB cable which comes with most MP3 players. Your computer will prompt you to name your MP3 player, and an icon identifying it will appear down the left margin of iTunes.

Click on the MP3 file (the song), and drag it into the "Library" folder in iTunes. This folder will serve as the general place to store all the MP3s on your computer. From there, you can create new playlists to select specific songs, click on the "shuffle" option to have iTunes randomly select songs to be played through your computer, or play every song in order from the library.

Select the appropriate song or playlist, and click the "Play" button on iTunes to listen. Or drag the songs from iTunes into your MP3 player's icon in iTunes to copy the song into your MP3 player.

EZ Audio Converter does not export files to iTunes

I've had exactly the same problem, and so far no resolution from Ion. A small bit of good news: the .wav files are on the hard drive, although without any track info. At least on Vista, they are in username/AppData/Local/Temp. The files are name Temp0, Temp1, Temp 2, ...

You can use iTunes to add these files (File/add file) and then convert them to .mp3s, or whatever format you prefer. Or you could convert them first using the tool of your choice, such as Audiograbber.

This is inconvenient, but a lot better than re-ripping the vinyl after EZVinyl hangs.

it sounds like EZ A C did not get the audio or EZ put it in a format tha Itunes Cant play. download VLC media player and install it. open the file with VLC and se if it will play it. It will play just about anything it has most of the codex's need to play anything too. if it doesent play it then something is wrong with the input to EZ A C you might have the input muted.

My songs r not seen

itunes can either use .mp3 or .mp4 music. N70 can only read and play .mp3

If you just copied .mp3 songs, go to Music Library - Options - Update/Refresh Music Library. It will add newly copied songs to your playlist.

I would suggest checking if there is a updated version of itunes available for you.

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Atleast try reinstalling the program.

Let me know how that goes, and also are you using another program with the turntable?
