Provided from Eaton Automotive."A Roll-Over Valve is a safety device that hinders fuel leakage in the instance of a vehicle roll over. A patented "peel away" float seal provides excellent "decork" characteristics. The float seal is tolerant to horizontal and vertical movement and has superior liquid discrimination exceeding industry standards of 2ccm. The Eaton Rollover Valve can be incorporated into multiple tank interfaces including: cam lock, hot plate welded "sandwich" mount, grommet mount and internal fuel sender mount."

Hope that helps

SOURCE: fuel pump - 2003 Pontiac Grand Am

2003 Grand Am GT,You have to drop the fuel tank, remove heat shield, remove all lines, electrical plug ins, then you are ready to do straps,be sure to go get extra nut and bolts for straps (2) of them had to cut off old ones, once straps are off depending on how much gas is in the tank used jack to lower tank, fuel pump was a twist off with locking mechanisms on top of tank, used a rubber malet and screw driver to loosen, pull out after diconnecting plug ins etc, replace blue plug in for harness to fit new pump, was recommended since it could corrode, lifted tank back up connected wires, lines etc,put key in on position 3-4 times for pump to pump, car started 1st time,my first fuel pump took my son and I 2 1/2 hours, new pump $250.00 wire harness $15.00 and two new nuts and bolts $3.25

In tank, see link for procedure. Make sure it's pump causing problem, as other items come in to play also.

SOURCE: draining fuel tank

You need to use a small garden hose and keep twisting it an it will go. The problem is there are baffels in the tank that you got to get around use a little patence and it will go, the smaller the hose the better. If you still can't get it you may have to for go getting the gas out and try to balance it on a floor jack. If you elect to do it that way get some help as it will be heavy and ackward.

SOURCE: trac off light comes on a 2003 pontiac grand am

This is the TCS or Traction Control System. It helps keep the vehicle from being able to get stuck by forcing the torque to either tire. Usually there is a switch either on the dash or on the shifter that says TCS or TRAC press the switch and it should go off.

How do I relieve the fuel pressure ?, and how do I Install a fuel gas tank sending unit on my 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE ?.

You can relieve the fuel pressure by connecting a fuel pressure gauge to a Schrader valve located on the fuel rail. If you need a fuel pressure gauge go to an auto parts store like autozone, they usually loan this tool for free. Why are you replacing the sending unit?

The switch is a check valve. no electrical to it. It is located on top of the tank. Try hitting the bottom of the tank. if the fuel pump starts working then replace the pump.
