My HTC Touch Pro used to make an alert sound when I sent a text message, letting me know the message was sent. But after a couple of days it just stopped making the sound. It displays the message "Message Sent" but with no sound. My husband has the same phone and his is still fine. How do I turn this back on? I can't find a setting for it.

Do a battery pull by removing the battery, and make sure to give it time to completely boot up. If you are texting while you are receiving messages which is very common, sometimes it eliminates the sound while you are texting because it cannot render the sound while you are a sending a message. If thats not the case, then make sure to go to your sound settings and turn it completely up, if that doesn't work try to apply a different alert ringer for it.
Have a look in sounds and notifications in the all settings menu, in notifications you may find that New SMS Message does not have an alert enabled. This is a different menu than the Touchflo interface sound settings in TF3d.
its a common problem for much of the htc mobiles , even if u complain for the htc care they say they are trying to resolve it but thats not gona happen , i too had the same problem and just replaced it
Set it up. U could 1. go to options when you are in your inbox and change the message settings to manuel deleting or 2. go to sounds settings and set the deleting items option to a sound. That should work.
I was having a similar issue only my text was getting bigger. I found this link and it answered our problem and it also had other useful information: http://news.softpedia.com/news/HTC-Touch-Pro-Review-97938.shtml
The HTC Touch Pro supports SMS,
MMS and email. Thanks to the 3D interface, users will be able to thumb
scroll longer messages in the Inbox. Dynamic font resizing (zooming
in/out with the scroll wheel) is also available. HTC Touch Pro also
offers Message delivery reports in its Settings menu. After reading that I tried it out on one of my text messages and sure enough it changed the font just like it said it would. The center button allowed for the zooming in (bigger) and out (smaller). All you had to do was run your finger around it in a clockwise and/or counter clockwise motion.
