I have windows xp professional sp2 on an IBM computer, I want to transfer the windows xp to my Dell PC without loosing the Genuine windows license.

yes, you can do it. If it has been 6 months since original installation you wont need to call MS. if you are instructed to call MS, call them and when they ask the reason for re-install... make sure to tell them it is a new PC, and that YES you have uninstalled it from the other PC. If you say no, you will lose authentication rights immediately.
