Question about Refrigerators
I got the koolatron model # ec - 23 as a gift and it keeps cans cool but not as cold as if putting them into fridge. I keep it in the entertainment room when people come over to visit. I wanted to find out if there is a way to change it to make the drinks colder.

AS I UNDERSTAND IT, THE LOWEST POSSIBLE SETTING IS ABOUT 40 DEGREES F BELOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SO OTHER THAN KEEPING IT OUT OF THE SUN OR A HOT CAR, THERE IS LITTLE YOU CAN DO. THE UNIT USES THE PELTIER EFFECT (THE REVERSE EFFECT OF A THERMOCOUPLE) TO ELECTRICALLY MAKE A COLD AND A HOT JUNCTION. RUNNING ON 12-14 VOLTS DC, IT MAY BE SAFE TO MIST WATER ON THE HOT JUNCTION, OR OTHERWISE COOL IT, TO IMPROVE IT'S HEAT DISSIPATION CAPACITY. I DON'T KNOW, I HAVE NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY IT.
