I need help with Craig CMP622E MP4/video player

My sister just got a Craig MP4/video player for Christmas. She wants her videos and her music on her player. The converter software was included with the product. But we have a problem converting videos using the included software. The software says "Success: 0, Failed: 1", and the player shows "Format Error!" while playing a video or music file on the player.

Is there anyone who can solve this problem? My sister is really disappointed about her player.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you, and Merry Christmas.

For the video issue, I've found that when I'm downloading something from youtube or something like that, if I save it as a .wmv file it will convert it, and for limewire the videos I download are all .avi and those can be converted as well. Hope this helps a bit :D

It says clearly in the directions that it only plays AMV files, and the included CD has the AMV converter software.

The disc player suddenly stops playing and says no disc even if there is disc on the shelf

Your disc player has a "lens or eye" that reads the electronic signal from your disc and transform that signal into a video image and audio sound. The reason why it stops playing and says there's no disc inside is because it fails to read the signal. The lens or eye may have acquired dirt that's blocking the signal. Try to open your disc player and locate the lens located on the center of the rotating disc holder. It is very easy to locate because it is directly under the disc. It is round, very small and made of glass. Get a cotton ear bud or just a small piece of cotton, moisten it with alcohol, or nail polish remover then wipe the lens. By doing it, you are removing the dirt that may have accumulated while you were using your disc player. It is highly advisable that you switch on all your electronic gadgets at least twice a week even if you're not using them. By doing this, you are preventing your electronic devices from acquiring moisture due to heat/coldness in the environment.
Another possibility, the format of the disc that you inserted (mp3, mp4, blueray, dvd) is not compatible with your player and therefore your player was not able to decode/read the signal.

Hi, If you say there are three connectors on front of t.v. those sound a lot like " FRONT A/V " inputs, which are abbreviations for audio/video. one of the connectors should be for video( possibly colored yellow ) the other two should be the audio ( red and white ) To check if this is the case connect rca cables from the back of dvd player video and audio out's to these connectors. Then change the input on the t.v. using the remotes "INPUT " button or it may be called " T.V./VIDEO" if no remote use the button on t.v. that says A/V and stop when you get to " FRONT A/V " or there may be a label on front above those connectors calling it vcr 2 or 3. if that's the case use this input when it comes up on t.v.'s screen. Thanks for choosing FixYa, I hope we have been of service and good luck, Prodzilla

Karaoke CD's will not play on Craig CD+G player

This is a problem with a simple answer. As newer disk technology comes out, newer electronics come out to work with them. Most likely your Kareoke machine is older and not compatible with burnt cds. As long as you are ok with buying regular CD+G disks, you should be fine. If you are interested in making or copying CD+G disks from others, you should consider investing in a new Kareoke machine. As per your question of it being correctable, to my knowlege, No. The electronics in older kareoke machines are not meant to handle CD-Rs or CD-RWs and in order to correct it you would have to somehow frankenstein a new circuit board in somewhere to allow it to handle CD-R/W Disks. As I don't know what is necessary, I am not sure if this is even possible. Like I said if you need this function, you are better of just getting a new Kareoke machine and selling your old one to offset the cost. Make sure the new one handles CD-R and CD-RW disks. Some more expensive ones will also handle Kareoke DVDs as well and have an A/V out so you can display the information on your TV(some of them will even handle DVD-Rs as well). Just look for that information on the box or ask a store representative for that information and they should be able to help you.
