Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5500 All-In-One InkJet Printer
There is not paper jam. I just opened the box and turn it on
I cannot send a fax, it goes & then on the confirmation page I get an error under results. please HELP.

If you receive an "Open front cover" error message the solution is to open the cover and remove the paper and any remnants of the paper jam. If there is no obvious paper remnants jamming the printer and you continue to receive an error message I would suggest unplugging the printer from the power source.
After 5 - 10 minutes plug in to power source.
Turn on printer.
See if this has resolved error message. If not you will need to check more carefully for paper remnants that would be causing the printer to detect a jam.
