Re: GE PRofile Diswasher PDW9880

I had a repair guy come out for similar problem. Because food/water/spills can go inside dishwasher, it can short out. It may just need cleaning/drying out. The repairman opened the front and wiped where it looked like spill happened. He also unplugged the green plastic wire thing from black box in upper right corner and took alcohol and cleaned the computer like prongs of both the insert and where it inserts into. It worked. I have since repeated this step numerous times.

Re: GE PRofile Diswasher PDW9880

You probably need a new control panel. The panel isn't sealed to the face everywhere, and food or water runs down the internal cable.
my panel burnt up. replacing it fixed the problem.

I caulked it in with clear caulk to prevent a recurrence.

Ge diswasher won't fill with water

When the program is switched on if there is no water flow despite the fact that the inlet flow is good, then the inlet valve is defective. it can be a failed valve if there is no action and if the flow is low then it can be a clogged valve. Remove, back flush and reset, if not replace, provided there is power to the valve.

Of course you can purchase the part. Module runs around $100. Dishwasher control boards are usually easy to replace, but there's no way I can determine if you're capable of doing it.

GE Profile Dishwasher Model GSD43302004WW has black debree that appears to be coming from bottom of door back into the diswasher.

Most likely the door seal has perished. You will need a new one.

Would be item 843 on this diagram.

Hope this helps. Please rate the solution if helpful or post a comment.

My GE Profile Dishwasher PDW7880 Soap dispenser does not empty

I had the same problem. After some investigation I found that the hose that brings water to the top arm was clogged. There was a piece of chipped china logged in there. I have no idea how it got there as it is at the top and facing the the back wall but once I managed to take it off it solved the problem.

You need to check for 110 vac at the main motor after the diswasher fills. If you do then replace the motor and if not then you need a computer.

Not cleaning the dishes

You need to check your water temp after it enters the diswasher, it should be at least 120 deg when it get in the dishwasher. If it not then the detergent, food, and greese can't break down.

Continuous beep after power went off and on

I'm the one who posted on May 23. I tried turning off the breakers and it was still beeped when powered back on. I ordered a new touchpad and control module. When I replaced the touchpad, the beeping was gone, but not all the buttons worked, so I changed out the control module, too, and it works:) I'm going to put clear caulk along the top to prevent spills from leaking through the front panel.
