Question about Sony KP-46WT510 46" Rear Projection HDTV

KP-46WT510 Sony, locating boards?

Have been researching convergence IC replacement and feel confident about performing the operation. My ? is, from all my reading the ICs and pico fuses will be located on boards D and G, will that ever be different? In my reading board D should be the large board center left bottom when looking from rear, my board is labled F, and the postings I read said G would typicaly be vertical and to the left of D, which appears to be the power supply to me. I think can handle the componet checks and replacement just can't locate boards visualy at this point. Any help or drawings/pictures would be most appreciated.

I have the same model tv, with the same problem... convergence ICs were shot.  As you look into the back of the tv, the ICs are located on the backside of the large heat sinks on the tan board.  The pico fuses are directly under the heat sinks.
Removing the board is fairly easy with the exception of removing the red cables at the rear left side of the board.  You have to exert a lot of force to pull them out (they go into the grey tower looking thing) but they do come out.
I recommend taking pictures of the board before removing, and then make sure you label each connector you pull off the board.  There are six screws to remove as well.
Check with Sonny and Barry at this site.  They gave excellent directions and have a convergence repair kit for your model tv.

Good luck!

Just to be sure, I checked mine and my board is labeled F as well.  You have the right one.

My sony tv model # KP-46WT510 is showing a three D Picture with a red outline

This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

Convergence problem

you will need to replace the stk ic's they are mounted to 2 large heat sinks in side the tv. the ic numbers are on the chips themselves. i do believe it is stk392-510 for sony. once you have the number you can buy these anywhere online. just put new ones in and should be good to go. if this doesnt work then there are a few resistors and fuses by the ic's that sometimes fail.
