***hi there, ill be willing to help you on that. ****
if all lights are flashing, there is a great possibility that the printer is having an internal error. try the ff. steps, turn the printer off, unplug it from the power outlet, lift the whole scanner, check for any obtruction inside the printer, take it out, if none, thats good. plug it to the power source again, trun it on, if same issue persists, that means, the printer is broken, call epson if it is still covered by 1 yr warranty, 1 yr with in date of purchase. they will send you a replacement printer.

***if my troubleshooting steps are helpful, pls vote for me, i will appreciate it, so that I can be a part of fixya, thanks, Godbless****

Remove all the Cables keep pressing the power button. this is easy way to remove all the power from the printer. Make sure there is no Paper jam and roller is clean to your best extent.( Dont try to be smart her ). Remove the ink toners. reseat the cables. Connect to Computer. Power on teh Computer First. Now poer on the Printer.
Let it ask for the Ink Cardridge. It shall come to Normal behaviour and PRINT. Let me know if you need explainations. I will check the comments. make sure you rate this solution. to get in touch.

I have an epson stylus NX100 and i just put brand new black ink in it recently i printed two pages max i went back to use it and it says that my black ink has expanded and i have to buy a new one? what...

***hi there, ill be willing to help you on that. ****
try to reseat the cartridges first to charge it again, reseat means Remove and reInstall the Cartridges. after doing that and still the same issue, and you have an extra set, try to load another brand new ink, just to isolate if it is the ink thats causing the problem, if the same issue persist, its not the ink that you bought, its the printer already, the printer is broken, call epson if it is still covered by 1 yr warranty, 1 yr with in date of purchase. they will send you a replacement printer.

1. Turn on the Epson Stylus NX100 Series.
If a cartridge is expended, the ink light on the control panel stays on. You must replace the cartridge to be able to print.
If the ink light is flashing, a cartridge is low on ink; replacement is recommended.
2. Open the scanner and prop it up with its support
3. Press the nx100_tx100_ug.1.93.5.jpg Stop button. The print head moves to the nx100_tx100_ug.1.93.6.jpg position to indicate which cartridge is low or expended.
4. Press the nx100_tx100_ug.1.93.8.jpg Stop button again. If another cartridge is low or expended, it moves to the nx100_tx100_ug.1.93.9.jpg position. Press the nx100_tx100_ug.1.93.10.jpg Stop button again to see if more cartridges are expended. If no other cartridges are low or expended, the print head moves to the replacement position on the right. 5. Squeeze the tab on the cartridge and lift the cartridge straight up to remove it. Dispose of it carefully. Do not take the used cartridge apart or try to refill it.
7Remove the cartridge from the package
8. Remove the yellow tape from the bottom of the cartridge.
9. reInsert the new cartridge into the holder and push it down until it clicks into place. 10. Once you replace all the necessary cartridges, lift the scanner slightly, release its support, and lower the scanner.. 11. Press the nx100_tx100_ug.1.93.18.jpg Stop button to begin charging the ink. This takes about 1 1/2 minutes. When the nx100_tx100_ug.1.93.19.jpg On light stops flashing and remains on, ink charging is finished. Caution:
Never turn off the Epson Stylus NX100 Series while ink is charging or you’ll waste ink.

Checking the Print Head Nozzles
If your printouts are faint or have gaps in them, some of the nozzles in the print
head may be clogged or ink may be running low in one or more of the ink
cartridges. Follow the steps below to check the print head nozzles.
1. Load letter-size paper in the sheet feeder.
2. Turn off the NX100 Series.
3. Hold down the y Stop button as you press the P On button to turn the
NX100 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the P On light begins
to flash, then release the buttons.
Cleaning the Print Head 21
4. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines.
5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean. If there are gaps or the pattern is
faint, clean the print head as described in the next section.
Cleaning the Print Head
If print quality has declined and the nozzle check pattern indicates clogged
nozzles, you can clean the print head. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only
if necessary.
Note:
You cannot clean the print head if an ink cartridge is expended, and you may not be able
to clean it when a cartridge is low. You must replace the cartridge first (see page 23).
1. Make sure the NX100 Series is on and the B ink light is off.
2. Hold down the y Stop button for three seconds to start the cleaning cycle,
which lasts around one minute.
Caution:
Never turn off the NX100 Series during head cleaning or you may damage it.
3. When the P On light stops flashing, run a nozzle check (as described on
page 20) to verify that the print head is clean.
4. If there are still gaps or lines, or the test patterns are faint, run another
cleaning cycle and check the nozzles again.
Note:
If you don’t see any improvement after cleaning the print head two times, turn off your
NX100 Series and wait at least six hours to let any dried ink soften. Then try cleaning
the print head again. If quality does not improve, one of the ink cartridges may need to
be replaced. If that doesn’t help, contact Epson as described on page 31.
If you do not use your NX100 Series often, it is a good idea to print a few pages at least
once a month to maintain good print quality.
Good Luck and Please rate me.

Does not print

***hi there,il be willing to help you on that. ****
the nozzles of the printer might be clogged by dried inks thats why when your printing, its feeding the paper, as if its printing but no inks on the paper. print a nozzle check to see which part or color have clogs, if there are gaps or breaks, do head cleaning untill no more gaps then try printing.
Running a Printer Check
1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Turn off the Epson Stylus NX100 Series. 3. Hold down the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.1.jpg Stop button as you press the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.2.jpg On button to turn the Epson Stylus NX100 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.3.jpg On light begins to flash, then release the buttons. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.5.jpg 5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head. If your printouts are unexpectedly light, or dots or lines are missing, you may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines.
You can also clean the print head by holding down the stop button on the printer for three seconds. (This only works when the red ink light is off.) Run a nozzle check to confirm that the print head is clean.
Caution: When you don’t turn on your printer for a long time, print quality can decline, so turn it on and print a few pages at least once a month to maintain good print quality. ***if my troubleshooting steps are helpful, pls vote for me, i will appreciate it, so that I can be a part of fixya, thanks, Godbless****
